My suggestion is that since a player can be attacked while traveling, or in another country from long-distance, that they should be able to access an item which will shorten or end the time they are in hospital and restricted from the "Market" or other activity in that country, long-distance.

I read the "Torn" write-up on Wikipedia but noticed that on the link there for "text based games" that it wasn't mentioned. This list, with "Torn" added with links could increase new players. Free advertising like that could be profitable.
I'm doing the "Tree Huggers" mission from Duke and have defeated all players listed, except "chindhilla." When I attack and get a hit, no reduction in points happens, and even though I score many hits in a row. I've attempted this two separate times; once being hospitalized and once ending in a draw. Chinchilla is a level 28 player and I just made 41. Can a player be invulnerable, and if so why would they be included in a mission that can't be completed as such?

I got a mission from Duke to do a "hit" on Vercex in South Africa. I went there and attacked him, but received the message, "This person has not been playing recently." Of course, you can message staff, but not receive mail until you return to Torn. Now what? Just take the loss in time and return for another day of no advancement if you fix the bug?

Okay, I think I understand. It is another method to slow a player's advancement through, as Ashley T alluded to, algorithms. Maybe, the reason why there are so many inactive accounts.

Thanks for the links! I certainly don't want to carry any items to another country. I thought it would be more of a link to your "Items" and that it be confined to healing items, through your "laptop" for instance. Would that be unfair to any other player's profit, since that seemed to be the main argument?

I agree about wikipedia, Nitro, but I don't know what Torn would like to do about adding it. As Jussi said, above, it may be a "marketing" decision that is up to them, and not me. I thought the Suggestions monitor might be the one to pass the word and make the addition if the that was what the management wanted, but maybe not. Thanks for your reply, Jussi. Torn has a page on wikipedia and that's what I meant about "advertising". Since they have that page, it wouldn't hurt to have the name on a list of text-only-games. Since I have no idea of what they consider proper in this instance, I don't feel right modding the page, myself.

I can't make advertising decisions for Torn and put my own layout and, or artistry on that page. I made the "suggestion" because I believe that the "moderator(s)" read all of them, even if not receiving 100 ups.
