What's your opinion about the matter: Should ISIS members receive inhumane punishment like torture or extremely painful deaths, or should they be judge as war criminals and for crimes against humanity without ourselves committing any act of barbarism?

Guys we are talking about the same organization that tried to kill Castro several times and failed. We are talking about the organization that couldn't stop the Iranian revolution. We are talking about which it's history of failures is longer than the one of it successes ... US intelligence is not even close to be the most efficient services in the world. They don't have the capacity to create ISIS Willingly. You may want to point at the Saudi Intelligence thought...

And Iran, Jordan, UAE, Turkey and so on...

I've been trying to use my magicals powers but the only thing I've accomplished so far is pulling a hat out of a bunny's mouth...

First, the only faction that I truly support in the whole mess of Iraq an Syria are the Kurds, specially the Peshmerga, and I do this because they are the most secular faction in the region (Iraq and Syria). I support women on active combat rolls but that has nothing to do with what we are talking about. Lest take a look to the Shia militias sponsored by Iran and what they are doing. They are fighting Daesh that's true, and they are also having some military success against them, and that's also true, but at the end of the day they also enter sunni villages and there has been massacres done by the shia militias against unarmed civilian population just because they are sunnies and because they lived for a short period of time under Daesh control. So there is no other difference between them and Daesh other than religion, they are the same kind of monsters. And this is what a lot of people in this forum seem to support just like you OllieBumble. The Kurds in the other hand act more like a western military and they do respect human life an dignity. That's why I support the kurds and i don't support the shia militias or your point of view on this topic.

I'm just gonna start another post to discuss this because we are going well off topic here.

I agree it's speaks horrors about our species that something as sinister as ISIS exits and I also believe that they should be wiped out. Sure, I'm OK if they are killed in military actions are jailed or even executed (ISIS as a whole no those 3 girls) but I'm not definitely OK with anyone, not even an ISIS member being beheaded, burnt alive or even tortured, because that's an salvage and inhuman way of killing somebody. My point is, that our sense of human dignity, compassion and due process is what makes us better than them and morally right and we shouldn't lower ourselves to the same level of savagery and barbarism because i believe we as a society are better than that, at least I like to think than I am.

Them if apply that kind of punishment what makes as better than them? I'm disgusted by the way they behead people and how they burn people alive, but i'm also disgusted by the C.I.A tutoring people in Guantanamo. I hate ISIS as much as anyone, but i truly believe that in order to fight animals, you don't have to become one of them.

Well, my country Argentina seems to be a republic but the current president which i hate seems to be taking away a lot of the things that make a republic a republic. Kirchner Have been repeatedly refusing freedom of expression on this country, taking control of the justice system and it seems that she order to kill a prosecutor who was trying to imply her in covering up a the Iranian responsibility terrorist attack against the AMIA. Argentina is slowly descending on tyranny. Argentina is no longer a democratic country, our form of government is demagogy.

I might have a third option and it's if i don't agree with you, i'm gonna try to understand your way of seeing things before i debate you. Everyone have a right to their opinions and i really enjoy talking with people who think differently than me, as long as that kind of conversations is carried out on a civilized manner. And since everybody is doing the political compass thing, this is where I seem to stand.
