The title of this thread may be misleading, but what I'm about to rant about is something that I've been wanting to say ever since Rice. In no way do I think the blacks are to blame for all the recent police shootings and in no way do I believe that the blacks are any lesser than anyone else. To be frank, NO ONE is higher, lesser, stronger, weaker, privileged, or less privileged than the person standing next to them. There is no doubt that some of the cops that we have now are complete shit and act like they're above everyone else, but us retaliating by killing, harassing, and bad mouthing all the cops we can find is something that only people even lower than those fake cops would do. We have to learn that we can't point out every single damn mistake cops do and use it as an excuse to say that our police force is racist.
As a matter of fact, there was a recent article on the Washington Post about how the police supposedly favored whites over blacks:
While you can list as much evidence as you want, there's something that I'd like to say to these authors and these media twits that like to inflate the smallest of issues into the largest they can make it. You will never be those cops. You will never be in a situation where you think someone you care about or you yourself can die. You will never know the fear that those cops deal with every day of their lives. They, too, are human and unless you can say for yourself that you know what it's like to deal with criminals every single day, I don't think you deserve an iota of say in criticizing all these police officers.
All in all, the reality of the world we live in is that people are racist. But just because some are racist doesn't mean we have to look at our police as monsters and shoot them all such as the case of the recent Dallas shooting. C'mon guys. As a result of all this, I'd like to pose the question: How do you feel about the recent events of police brutality?
I'm curious if there are any vegans that are reasonable. I mean, I'm totally open to veganism, but the crap that some vegans pull nowadays make me want to believe that there are no vegans that are able to logically explain their position without blowing up in a meat-eater's face like me.
Dumbfounded. This is the word I use to describe my reactions to the riots in the city of Milwaukee. I find it unbelievable that at a time like this, people refuse to keep the sense that they normally have and throw it away in a senseless riot for all the wrong reasons. Don't get me wrong, I'm not racist at all; I'm open to every religion, race, and way of thinking that's out there. So looking at these rioters as fellow citizens of the United States, I have no choice, but to say that I'm ashamed beyond belief of the people of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

What we know is that an armed young man and another person was stopped in a car by two policemen. The victim was unable to comply to orders to put down his weapon (which I note had over 500 ROUNDS of ammunition, more than either of the policemen were carrying) and fled. The officers put down this man in an act of extreme bravery, not only fearing for their own lives, but the lives of the people that could have been hurt by this individual.
Every part of the victim was illegal. He had more ammunition than legal, he refused arrest, and he refused to disarm himself against the orders of a protector of law. Who this person was most definitely was not the same, loving person that all these rioters claim to remember. What we had was a criminal who refused to recognize the importance of the safety of his community over his own, selfish intentions.
"When will it stop?" the rioters ask. But I ask "When will police discrimination stop?" We live in a time where police brutality is an issue, but in the slightest of cases such as this one, we discard our virtues as law abiding citizens and turn blind to the truth of the matter that lies directly in front of us. I have a very useful tip for anyone that feels they are in danger of police brutality. Follow the officer's orders and don't do anything that strays away from it. Most if not all of these cases of "police brutality" has a recurring theme and that is that all the victims were unable to comply to the police officer's orders.
Wake up America, please. The sooner we can act like the law abiding citizens that lay within all of us, the better it will be for the rest of the nation.

It's come and gone and we see it again and again. Over and over we hear stories about school shootings and attacks yet we look on. Politicians complain about some other issue, the media blows up these events with side stories, and we all just pretend it never happened. Listen guys, it's simple.
Concealed carry must be legal on campuses to prevent these kinds of things.
Why? You ask? Doesn't it mean there would always be the constant danger of an active shooter if concealed carry was legal on campuses?
The answer to this: No. This is the answer you get from a naive and privileged person who doesn't understand the reality of the world. And to all of this, I present you with the reality ladies and gentlemen. If concealed carry was legal on campuses, the immediate moment when a shooter or an attacker presented his or her sorry a$$ onto the campus, they would be shot. Dead. No innocent lives killed and no incident occurring. Concealed carry permits are earned through rigorous physical and written tests, not something that everyone can earn immediately, meaning that people who carry these concealed weapons ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. In essence, people with concealed carry permits are good guys, and there will always be infinitely more good guys than bad guys, no matter how you'd like to argue.
Listen politicians and media: Establishing gun-free zones does not mean $hit. Criminals don't follow rules, nor do they follow these laws. That's why they are criminals. Just because some place is gun free does not mean criminals are going to sit home thinking "gee I can't shoot this place up because it's gun free." We need to show some change and get our heads in the game. All I know is, countless cases have shown concealed carriers preventing mass shootings, yet are not shown on the media. Look it up, I dare you. Now if we apply this to campuses, imagine how much less of a threat of any attacker coming in would be. I would most definitely want a ccw carrier to be locked and loaded to protect me and my kids.
