Well guys it's been a great run but as of now I am leaving TORN city. I've had heaps of fun and met a bunch of great people here. I'm not leaving because I've lost anything, I'm going because I've gained and learned so much. My responsibilities and duties in the real world are of a great importance and I won't have a lot of time for much else. I just wanted to run by to all of you that you make up the community of a great game in a society where text-based games are dying. I hope you have a happy new year and that all of your tomorrows are productive, happy, busy days where you keep moving forward and go past your limits. I'll see you guys all down the line.

For a new year, Christmas comes to Torn. Chedburn makes cookies and Duke watches porn. The bazaar is a frozen mess, and poor players are blessed. The Admins watch in fear as holiday debates break out over beer.
Christmas Town is a war zone, one without guns. And one player out of millions, sits here making puns. The staff are on edge, while scammers retake their pledge. Mugs stay on the rise, and the holidays funds still grow in size.
More loans than ever, same with every passing year. Millions of dollars in debt, no better form of Christmas cheer. Some say merry Christmas, others happy holidays. And some simply wait and gleam, waiting to steal your flatscreen.
Black Friday echoes in the past, some boxes finally wrapped. The dump continues to be pillaged, like fresh blocks of cheese to hungry rats. Do not worry, TORN citizens, and do not cry. You might lose everything this holiday season, but at least you can't die.
We remember the amazing moments, the big and the small. The good, the bad, and the ugly, and several kicks in the balls.
Now we enter a new year, maybe the best of them all.

I got disgustingly hammered off of like about five or seven four lokos my second year of job training. I was never the biggest alcohol lover so I found some that tasted okay and it kind of got out of hand. I awoke to the backseat of my car and when I stepped out it hit me that a mate of mine taxied me halfway across the county to a shoddy bar where one of my old school bullies worked. I beat him to within an inch of his life while blackout drunk and nobody cared because they knew the history between us. Never touched a four loko to this day.
I got a message like this too after a few mugs for beer and ammo money. This guy is full of beans and nothing more. He thinks and/or wants to try to be a hero in a game with no heroes. Ignore him.
