i was thinking, what if we add stuff like profile status messages, or even timelines a-la facebook? maybe we could filter content by disabling photos on posts and links if things go badly. tags would be nice. there could also be a system of just plain status messages on people's profiles other than the profile photos (imo the profile photo as the one single way to talk through your profile is very limiting). upvotes and downvotes would be nice too. maybe we could post public messages on other people's pages (a-la twitter). we could still post battle links, and faction recruitment. it would also be a good way to keep track of changing jobs, factions, and marriages so we know who our contacts are, not running around checking the teenee tiny icons
tl;dr make the place a little more like a social network so we have more interaction, without transforming the place into an actual social network
