I nominate poptop for getting a special award for being awesome :D. It could also be a special colour for poptop's name that no other staff member has or just a medal. And on the same note, special medals for being staff? Reasons: Poptop helps newbs. Poptop is active. Poptop is reliable as mentioned below Poptop acknowledges the other 52 staff, most of which are working for free to make Torn a better game for all of us. Poptop has a sense of humour! Poptop taught me how to bank with points so I didn't lose 1.67 mil to mugging by DementedBastard. Poptop roleplays! Poptop is nice, and does not flaunt her authority. Poptop belongs to the rare group of torn players that are female(irl). Poptop does not hesitate to use the banhammer after warning. But most of all, Poptop bakes! http://www.torn.com/userimages.php?XID=437292
http://www.torn.com/userimages.php?XID=868334 Sure y'all can think of other reasons too. E.g This quote from Evilpants666: "I nominate poptop to receive the special WHITE name colour! It is absolutely troll-proof! Also, it serves a function in chat."
Truly, I don't know about the thousands of other Torn players, but most of the friends I have, are my friends because I want to know when they are online(so that I can buy/sell stuff to/from them). I think it would be great, if instead of having to open up the profile tab, and press chat(currently playing Torn on Windows XP), we could just press a button beside the name of our online friends, and have a chat box open up. A trade button would be nice here too, for the same reason mentioned above. There's a bit of empty space between the name and the minutes since last active in our friends list, and an open trade button, as well as a chat button would fit rather nicely there.] Oh and a mute all button for Foxxeh's sake

On the note of medals for staff, I actually think this would be a good idea as staff in general could use more recognition for the work they do. Something like days spent as staff, around the same numbers as being married or staying in a faction. Also, number of users banned might be a good one(if Torn records which staff bans who, as I'm not too sure how the banning system works). Also, a special way of sending warnings that is logged in some sort of file, so other staff can tell why a user was banned, and perhaps investigate it if was fair or not. Then, a medal for number of warnings issued.
Then get it done so that each chat gets it purpose and they don't overlap. I.E: Services such as jail busting and revives no longer sold on trade chat. In fact, I say limit trade chat to actual ITEMS that can be placed in a trade. Get a different chat or even a page in the newspaper for selling companies, hiring employees, selling/renting property etc.
