How It Works - Russian Roulette Tournament
16 total entries, 4 rounds, 4 winners total.
Any Torn player can enter by joining Calculating's Discord and typing "@tourney rr daily/weekly/monthly/L[#]" in the #tournaments channel. Once we record 16 total entries in the channel, we lock new entries and prepare for the tournament. The following are steps to prepare for each tournament:
1. Communicate in Calculating's Discord to tournament administrators about procedures during the tournament
2. Apply to the Calculating faction (temporary - cash deposits to faction show public transparency and puts accountability to the faction, not an individual player)
3. Deposit the Bonus Pool cash + Security Fee into the faction vault (this does not include your cash on hand for each round)
4. Prepare for the start of the tournament (make sure to prepare cash on hand for each round)
Depending on who you are or how many runs you've done in our tournaments, we may accept direct cash trades to Calculating Leaders vs joining Calculating faction to enter the tournament. DO NOT SEND CASH TO CALCULATING LEADERS WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. Cash is not collected until the tournament starts. However, earnings payouts will always be paid from Calculating's faction vault to the winners.
Calculating secures each Bonus Pool cash amount in the faction vault, and will pay out awards at the end of the tournament. Calculating collects a security fee to prepare and organize the tournament, provide security as a broker/escrow party, attacks each entree prior to the game starting, and all other activities to secure/promote the game and each entree involved. Each game is password protected and each player will be in the hospital prior to the start of the game for mug protection.
Each entree will be seeded randomly against each opponent. Once seeded, each player will be chosen randomly to host or join the game. Calculating will provide the game password, and the first round bet amount will be your initial Buy-in amount. Prior to the start of the game, communications will be handled in Calculating's Discord in regards to timing of game start, attack to the host and joiner, as well as communications to spectators who are interested in the game results. Double and Triple Shots are allowed. In-between games before and after each round is allowed. All these actions are at the discretion of the players in the tournament. Disqualifications may occur if a player does not comply to time constraints on starting a game, or not putting the correct betting amount up in the round game. Each tournament aims for 60 minutes between four rounds. There may be other disqualification scenarios that will arise, and Calculating will take each scenario case by case, with full intentions on making sure players are treated fairly and justly.
After the first round, the winning player may choose to secure their cash deposit in the faction vault, then use the faction medical items to be released from the hospital. This is the best way to mitigate your risk of a target mug, but not a requirement as a tournament entree. The second round will be organized in the exact same way as the first round, but the new Buy-in is now the total winnings of your first round win. This process is repeated until the final round of the tournament. Final payouts are sent to players via Calculating faction vault, and publicly recorded for security purposes once you have secured the payout on your end.
House Rules
You may use Calculating's faction vault for extra protection prior, during, or after the tournament. Monies left in the Calculating faction vault by you are not subject to banking interest earnings paid out by Calculating, unless designated otherwise. You can find Calculating Banking for Interest information on Calculating's Discord server per request from Leadership or Council. There will be spectators to the tournament, as well as bad actors who will attempt to scam/mug you during the tournament. Play at your own risk, but Calculating will do our very best to mitigate your risk. With that being said, Calculating is not liable for any losses, mugs, scams, or other unknown variables that may come up in the tournament outside what we can control.
If, for any reason, there are verified discrepancies in the tournament such as a player going AFK, game time-out, internet connection dropped, player deciding to leave with winnings early, or any other issue that may arise, Calculating will identify the root cause of the issue, and determine the best cause of action going forward. However, Calculating will not cover any hard losses or potential opportunity losses if the action was on purpose, out of Calculating control, or due to a scam/mug/fraud. You play at your own risk. Calculating's security fee is non-refundable, and Calculating faction members are allowed to enter into the tournament at their own risk. All terms, rules, conditions, and any other implied expression are subject to change. Calculating has an interest to keep its reputation clean, so the success of each tournament is paramount to many other Calculating interests.

My name is Uncle, and I am one of the leaders of the Monarch Empire, Westworld Alliance, and Project C3. I have some news to share with you all.
Kidnapped [1841988], the leader of Monarch Mutation, went on a gambling spree and misappropriated Monarch funds in the process. During this act, four Monarch Hazmat Suits were also stolen and used as collateral to fund this spree.
We want to make it absolutely clear: no member balances were affected. The funds and assets belonging to individual Mutation members remain completely secure, which was our primary concern from the onset.
While this incident is disappointing, Monarch’s strength lies not in one account or one person but in the resilience of the empire. Thanks to our extensive network of rackets, companies, stock fund, banking / lending activities, and other Monarch-controlled revenue streams, the main Monarch fund will be fully restored within a matter of weeks.
This now makes it close to $325b worth of funds that we have been scammed of since Monarch’s inception. More money than most factions have touched in their lifetime. Lesser factions would have crumbled by now but our team remain steadfast and seem to galvanize in the worst of times.
While we are devastated at the loss of funds, we are more saddened by the loss of a close friend to a gambling addiction that has caused so, so much harm. We understand and acknowledge that he needs professional help far beyond that of what his teammates at Monarch can offer him.
With this all being said, let it be known that anyone who takes in Kidnapped without our express approval will be a target for us until all misappropriated funds have been repaid in whole.
