I have carved an angler fish, the 'light' is a squash of some sort I believe.
The first image shows that it is in fact mine and the others are showing it in different lighting and outside in the awful wind and rain we had last night
I have now added an image after a few days so it is now a bit mouldy but it is to show that I have done this carving for halloween 2021.
Finally as seperate submission I have it without the 'light' and head on.

I woke up and it was dark, I am scared of the dark.
Super quick, good prices
My best I think was a full house, pretty pleased with it
This year I enlisted the help of my two young cousins to help construct this Christmas tree cake and gingerbread tree. They were very useful in getting rid of all of the pink marshmallows to leave the white ones for snow but not so helpful in the construction process!!
The base is a prune and chocolate cake which is also gluten free and is a secret recipe which my mother won’t even tell me! It provided the base or ‘trunk’ for the rest of the tree.
The gingerbread is just your typical gingerbread recipe which you can find on BBC good food or you probably have your own version so I won’t include one here. We then cut out some paper stars of decreasing size and then used those as templates before putting in the gingerbread to bake. There was no real science to it, more just however many pieces felt like the right amount.
Each layer of gingerbread is stuck together with royal icing, this was then also used to provide the green tips on all of the levels of gingerbread to imitate the pines of the tree. We then used marshmallows for snow around the base and then gold stars across the tree as decorations.
For royal icing we used 3 egg whites and then 675g of icing sugar. You then beat them together adding a bit of the icing sugar at a time, once you get soft peaks you can then put it into a piping bag to then pipe onto the gingerbread. We added some green food colouring so that it looks like the pines.

We also made a gingerbread Angel to go on the top of the tree.

Here is the initial layout where we did our first dry fit.

Then here is an image of the icing after the what seemed like endless beating.

My plate of food with gammon, roast potatos, sweet potato wedges, pork pie, and red cabbage and beetroot salad.

The full meal that i prepared for my family, the main event is the gammon which took over 4 hours to complete (full process here). The other parts are sweet potato wedges, roast potatoes which were super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. A fennel and orange salad, a purple cabbage and beetroot salad, a huge pork pie, cranberry sauce, horseradish paste, and Mediterranean marinated carrots. Of course matched with beer, my favourite has to be the brewdog "velvet cake" stout.

This Christmas my whole family has managed to get together finally and I have not had a University assignment due so I could spend as much time with my family as possible. We have spent the day playing Settlers of Catan and Articulate. Me and my mum dominating both of them!
We had our Christmas dinner with my grandparents who we were finally able to sit inside with and enjoy our time with great food. I am so appreciative of my family and i wish everyone who reads this and all who don't a Merry christmas and i hope it has been delightful for you too!
All love to everyone, today was a happy day :) <3
