At 6pm TCT today, I will begin to add the numbers #01- #50 to the Christmas Town Map, in no particular order. The numbers will be placed over two hours, with the final number placed at 8pm TCT.

Locations will be random, and you may have to check each area more than once!

The first person to find each number and post a screenshot in this thread wins 3 cans of X-MASS.

The event ends when Christmas Town closes.

Guarded by an evil elf.

Fifteen is not hard to find

Look for somewhere very blue.
17 is near some plants
That will make you itch and dance!
Find 18 beside a path
Where a ginger man stands guard,
It's not hard to find 19.
It's right next to a human spleen!
Pick your way to number 20.
It is in a place of plenty!
Bide your time near drops of rum
To find number 21.
22 is somewhere dry
You can't see it, so don't try!
Find a warm spot near a tree
To uncover 23.

Near a drink a drunk would pour.
25 is by a flower
Growing near a deadly tower!
Slip between walls made of bricks

On transportation underground.

(Edit: I realize now that this is staff and not devs, but I typed it all out now so suck it).

 

Ched, you are one of the coolest people I ever worked for.  There is a reason your game has lasted for.decades and shows no sign of slowing down. You are just insanely dedicated.  I don't think a lot of  players realize that behind this awesome game there is a meticulous genius who has dedicated his life to its creation. 

 

You have spawned a crazy, glorious, creative world for us, and it has fostered a community that draws people in and gives them a little online daily thing that becomes a part of their life. It also gives us an online family that could last from adolescence to old age. 

 

In particular,  I'd like to thànk you for flying the Pride flag. That means a lot to a fair number of us, myself included. 

 

Anyway,  back to loving on people I had the privilege of working with... 

 

Huge love to Jane and Olena, who have to be the most productive and talented artists i have ever worked with. As I play with Christmas Town again this year (making a little games map for my awesome faction, The Revenant), looking through the asset lists, I remember how.fun it was to log on for work and see another amazing smorgasbord of tiny artpieces based on all our ideas. Especially the elves! (Those of you who have had a go at map making have no doubt gotten as lost as I do).

 

.. bogie. Godamn man, your patience and resilience is impressive. I have never met a CM who isn't fervently dedicated, but let's just say that if I pitted you against every CM I have ever known, I would bet big on you.

 

I also want to shout out to Pavlo, Artem, and all the other fantastic devs I had the privilege of working with on Torn! You are just wonderful to work with! 

 

Lastly, Ash. You're funny. Every time I read your stuff I have a smile on my face.

...The dev team is largely based in Ukraine. They have literally continued to hold this all together DURING A WAR AND A PANDEMIC. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦!!!

Having lots of things and people to live for is good for your mental health. Even if some of those people are online, that doesn't matter that much. When people start getting really sick with addiction, they isolate themselves by pushing people away at a time when actually they need to be connected and supported as much as possible. The more connections and things to live for you have, the less likely you are to kill yourself.

I'm pretty worried about RX8. He seems to have developed a gambling addiction and I worry that he's doing it IRL too. I think that instead of hating on him, we should support and help him. He's our friend and he fell off the edge of the map. I'm gonna PM him and see if he is ok.

The person is a lot more important than the in game money. Someone we've known for ages appears to be falling apart. Can we worry about that a little please?
