Got a movie quote that made you stop, drop and contemplate about your life? A quote that every time you hear or read it, it makes you chuckle? Or simply, a quote as scary as hell as "Why so serious" (said with an emphasized "why" and s, of course) from Joker?
If you haven't watched both movies yet. I heavily recommend. These two are masterpieces.
I was just wondering though, what movie is better? Kingsman: The Secret Service, a love letter to spy genres with a whole lot of humor, style and butt sex or Mad Max: Fury Road, an artistic depiction of a post-apocalyptic Fast and Furious movie?
What I learn about sequels is: If you do it right, the 3rd movie of the film will turn shit or plain meh. For example: Spiderman Trilogy (the first one), the Jurassic Park movies, etc.
I have a large faith in the director though. Kickass 2 was good as the first film so hopefully he does the same with Kingsman.
It's not about the explosions, if you want explosions galore just watch Michael Bay films, it's about creating an atmosphere for the movie. Acting and story-telling, agree are the key factors, but if the background sucks, it bothers the majority of people. What's bad is the so called actors in Warcraft Movie are made with CGI. Personally, even if it's super expensive, they should have used the technique used in Narnia where it's 50% cgi and 50% make up/prosthetic.
Remember: If the first movie flops, don't expect a second one which is a shame because I want to see the Undead and the Elves come to life.
Fun Facts: Colin Flirth aka Harry Hart I believe is never one for action movies so this movie really popped his action movie cherry. :)
Samuel Jackson use to have a lisp when he was young.
Eggsy (Taron I-can-never-remember-his-last-name-to-be-honest) is new to acting big production movies so yeah, expect him and his character to be average. Kudos to his accent though. If you heard him talk in interviews he sounds more of a mix of American and British.
Anyway, I heard they're going to have a sequel. The director wants Colin Flirth to be in it again. I don't know how will they do that but he jokingly said once that Harry might have an evil twin. Here's hoping it really is but I think they'll just go with the "It's an action movie. You should have checked the body before thinking it's really dead. Double tap, man" direction.
lol I could just imagine Eggsy's face once Harry suddenly comes back to dead (hopefully, Mr. Flirth agrees to do Kingsman 2). It's either water works or he'll punch Hart a new one.
If the cgi looks fake, everything would feel fake and it bothers most of the movie goers... which is the ones who's going to rate and recommend the movie to others... which means cash and a sequel. Maybe it's ok for Warcraft fans but for normal movie goers, that's a thumbs down.
lol the heads (if this was FB I've given you a like... wait)
Mad Max's only cgi is the sandstorm and the place where it's all sticky but other than that, they're really in a desert with real stunt mans going around and around like headless chicken.
When it comes to acting, I agree. Max there was as interesting as a brick wall. I find myself more attach to the Kingsman characters, like Harry for example... ok, forget Eggsy, Harry Hart is the bomb of that movie. :)
Who's your favorite Kingsman characters? I like Gazelle and the first Galahad. You?
I don't like the cgi. The orcs doesn't feel right to me. Hell, Stuart the rat looks more real then they do. Although, I appreciate their effort. I hope if they make a sequel, the elves and the undead would be added into the story.
One question though, does the movie cover only Warcraft I? I only played Warcraft III so I'm not pretty clear with what happened to the Orcs and the Humans.

I saw the intro... deleted the copy on my computer and swore to forget about it. The former movie was 30 times better than that shit and that's saying something.
lol, sorry. English isn't my first language. Haha.
My criteria when it comes to movies are mostly about visual. Although it would be nice to quote a character every once and a while. Fast-paced movies are my jam and the only movies I like that's kind of a slow burner are Blast from the Past, Brother's Bloom and V for Vendetta, and the latter isn't even that slow paced.
Huh, you got a point there but there's also bad cgi in Kingsman, right? That scene where Eggsy and Gazelle jumped and tried slicing each other. That was the only scene that I hated in the movie. The background and slow motion feels off.
