I have some friends born in xinjiang, one guy is an automatic driving scientist in Alibaba living in Beijing, one girl is a investing banker living in Shenzhen, they told me a lot about xinjiang and Uighur people.

and more important is, i traveled to north xinjiang last year and plan to travel to south xinjiang next year, definetily you can do the same thing, xinjiang is a best place to travel:)
