I've been wondering why there has been no Easter Eggs event for 2018, and know I'm not the only one. Could the reason be that too much time was spent on something that was only semi-interesting for about 30 seconds - these dumb ads? Staff who could have been working to get Easter Eggs going were instead wasting time developing something really lame instead of spending that clock on an event many have come to look forward to and newbies wonder about and wish to participate in for the first time?
Really disappointing. You could have better invested your efforts into an event proven to be highly engaging by the Torn population in general, and stuck to your usual spinning pages for the "oh how clever, moving on..." April Fools gag.

I reached two years in Torn last night, and have had a progress bar in the Merits section that says something to the effect of "Live 2 years in Torn. Progress 1.9/2" That progress meter is now gone, yet no merit. I have tried the usual tricks of logging out and back in again as well as clicking the Medals tab (which is often required to spark a Merit to show up). I know it hasn't been issued and I was just blind because I've been sitting on 9 merits to spend for a while now. So where is it?
