Spoiler alert: In season 7 they reveal that Negan didn't kill anybody. Before the dead rose Negan was an award winning baker. He was actually smashing a delicious cherry pie. Everybody was screaming because it smelled really good and Negan callously wasted food, a dwindling resource.
It also turns out that the stress of the situation causes Rick's people to suffer a shared delusion. Negan isn't swinging a baseball bat. He's swinging Carl around by the ankles. Carl isn't hurt, but he gets pie in his hair.
But seriously: I'm thinking it was Glenn or Daryl.
This, pretty much. Negan's an arrogant a*****e and brutally violent. It isn't love or worship that inspires loyalty in his people, it's fear. He takes what he wants by any means necessary and the people with him fall in line or suffer his wrath. At least if he's going to be exactly like his comic counterpart, that is.
This movie is almost 40 years old, but it's still one of the best zombie movies out there.
If you're still giving away stuff, I wouldn't mind some coming my way.
