I just built my first custom Mauser rifle. I built it off of the reciever of a Spanish Mauser and chambered it for .22-250. I hand carved a stock from American walnut and high-polished and blued the metal. I'm about to start on my second Mauser. It's an Argentine Mauser made by DWM and I've already threaded and chambered the barrel blank for .30-06. I wanted to do 7mm-08 but I just decided to go with a common caliber at the last minute.

Yeah, the Turk Mausers are great. You used to be able to get them for 100 bucks. I've been told that back in 1994-1995 there was a company that sold them for 40 dollars each if you bought 5 of them!
