Okay cool cool, well I'll work on a character then. This all sounds like fun.

Hello my buddies, So I've got a character and now we're just working out the kinks, but I want to be sure I know who your characters are. Marduke, is your character on page 3 the same? Did you guys end up being students at the same university? Because my character is a groundskeeper and I think it would be best if I were the groundskeeper there, if only to give a reason why we would continue to interact with each other.

I think too many pages have passed for me to will myself to go back and read all the posts and the character sheet link is giving me a 404 so I don't think I'll be getting in on this. But I did want to throw my two cents in that if you're going to apply tabletop rules in a forum then NWOD was probably a really good choice given how it's rooted in narrative as opposed to the conventional RPG's. I'd love to join up but it looks like I missed a lot already on the OOC. Is it all just clarification of the rules that I could get by looking into the core rulebook, which I have, or are they important to be read through?

I loved how they ended season 2 on that Tegan and Sara song. I thought it was an interesting choice that really worked well. And if you haven't yet, wait until you hit season 3 man because it is great. My favorite character was Vincent Adultman because every scene he was in was amazing.

Oh god man, the last episode broke my heart with Mike and El and all that. In a good way though, I like that the show had me so invested in the characters without me being really conscious of it. I was surprised that I sympathized with what happened so much. I really feel like Stranger Things is what Super 8 should have been when Spielberg was touting that as his masterpiece.

I just finished this show and it was amazing. I loved the use of Heroes by David Bowie at the end of the third episode, because it still hits hard even though you know what happened couldn't really have happened.

Dude it's the DC universe, she will come back and she's going to have a super predictable arc about coming to terms with the trauma of dying and being brought back to life. Like Thea's in I think the second or third season, but much less interesting.

I mean I feel like a single parent seeing someone else would be the kind of heavy thing that SU tends to tackle. I just wonder if that was intentional or not.

I think I've missed exactly one episode but it was a filler and I don't know which lol. So in Maximum Capacity, Amethyst and Greg start watching Lil Butler together and it's mentioned that they used to hang out a lot but something happened between them and they stopped. You get a look at what probably happened later on when Amethyst and Greg have a blow up that culminates in Amethyst shapeshifting into Rose Quartz to mess with Greg. Now when I look it up on the forums, there's a consensus that Amethyst, being the youngest Crystal Gem, is jealous of the time Greg got to spend with RQ, like Pearl but instead she misses Rose as a mother figure. I think that, while reasonable, doesn't quite fit the episode. I think that Amethyst isn't jealous of the time Greg spent with Rose Quartz, but rather jealous of the time Rose Quartz spent with Greg. She does say that she used to have Rose mostly to herself before Greg showed up, but her actions line up with my idea better. She blushes when she sees the picture of Greg and RQ and she gets really possessive of Greg later on in the episode. I think the thing that gets me most is that she turns into Rose Quartz because she does it while upset in a bid to get Greg to stay so it really feels like jealousy on her part over Rose's relationship with Greg. If they were going for the other way you'd think they'd have played up her looking at Greg as a father figure, and I know it's a throwaway line that probably doesn't mean anything, but the "I've seen your junk before" line that Amethyst has really paints everything she does with him from there on in as kind of flirty.

Yeah, I do appreciate the Steven Bombs though. I think the last few they released weekly though, right? They got leaked online before they showed up on Cartoon Network and I spoiled them for myself lol. Hey let me ask you something, because there's this one episode I have an odd theory about and I asked one other person and they agreed with me, but if it's true then they're diving into some REAL adult themes with it. Have you seen the episode where Amethyst and Greg hole up in Greg's storage unit watching Lil Butler?

It was a while ago. Looking up the movie I saw to calm my nerves after it happened tells me that it happened in 2010 so I must have been 18 at the time. My street is on a hill so it inclines downward and I live on that slope. Once you get to the bottom there's a left turn to another street that leads to a cul-de-sac, but the only way in or out is through my street. I had a neighbor down the street and to the left who had asked me to feed his dog and make sure he got his medication and I agreed to help. I can't remember if I only went at night or if there was some circumstance that only allowed me to go at night when it happened but me and my then-girlfriend were walking down my hill on the way to feed the dog and it was nighttime. I remember being a little on edge because my street isn't very well lit and my girl is reassuring me. I'm not afraid of the dark. Sometimes you just get the jitters, even when you know nothings going to happen. Well something happened. I saw it before I heard it. It was this blue something just above one of the houses at the bottom of the street. If you stood on the roof you could touch it as it- I don't know, not floated or hung, because it didn't have a definite shape, it just kind of burst and expanded. It looked like electricity but it was not electricity. It was about the size of a sedan and the strange blue color, I remember it so well: it was alternately dark and light electric blue and the color moved inside the shape. It wasn't connected to anything. I looked for where it could have come from the next day but there were no electric poles near the house, which was our first rationalization. It crackled and reached and roared. My girlfriend ran. I would have followed her but I fell backwards immediately and I was too scared to move further. And then it was gone. The girl and I are still friends on facebook and every once in a while I'll ask her if she remembers, just so I know I didn't dream it, but she remembers. I don't know what it was.

Oh hell yes. Dude Steven Universe is amazing. Honestly my only complaint about it is that it isn't on enough.

I liked it for a while and then I realized that their go-to every season was to have someone be mean to Regina and then she immediately goes back to being evil. How many times do they need to learn the value of friendship towards one specific person?

1. Green Arrow should definitely be much more lighthearted a character. A lot of people like to point out that he started out as basically a second Batman but then why not just make a Batman show? I think I could forgive the show for all that if they'd confirm in the show that there is no Bruce Wayne in this universe and that's why everything and everyone who should be centered around Batman is centering around Green Arrow instead.

2. In the show her name is Dinah Laurel Lance, but in the comics she's just called Dinah Lance and she's the Black Canary and she is fantastic. When she's by herself she's a badass and when she's with Green Arrow, they are badasses together. I think a big part of the problem is that what makes Black Canary and Green Arrow in a show together (Like Justice League or Justice League Unlimited) are that you should be able to look at them as a team and just kind of tell that they're the perfect couple. Every time the two actors speak to each other in Arrow I really just want them to stop because they have so little chemistry. I would say they even have negative chemistry where their conversations always seem stilted and awkward and like they'd love to be anywhere else doing anything else besides speaking to each other.

3. I think they showed up in Flash. Their whole story in the DC tv universe is kind of weak and would be better if they only put in Hawkgirl, I think.

That's the thing is that I do believe the Flash is a pretty mediocre show right now, but has a lot of what Arrow doesn't in that they have a good cast that play well off each other and a good tone where everything isn't super dark and oh my god it just hit me writing this that another thing Arrow does that screams Batman is he doesn't shut up about his stupid unlikeable dead parents.

I want to like Gotham, but I feel like they hit way too hard on the Batman villains when they could be doing really great stories about life in Gotham before supercrime. I mean even if we ignore the canon, which I'm fine with because if you adapted a comic too faithfully the show simply will not be interesting, I have the hardest time forgiving them for shoehorning in every villain they can. Once they introduced Black Mask as like a legacy character I remember thinking that they just don't know where to pump the breaks on who needs to be included. For the record, I love the guys they got to play Riddler and Penguin. Riddler's arc, at least early in, is actually phenomenal. I thought it was stupid to include Amygdala of all villains. Amygdala. Also how it wants to have its cake and eat it too in terms of the Joker. They won't say that kid is Joker but they will hint it to hell and back while not realizing that giving him an actual confirmed identity really misses the point of the Joker. The thing that made me stop watching is that, and this one you'll have to step back from the show and really look at it because you won't want it to be true but I promise you it is: Gordon is Batman. He growls, he fights Batman's rogues, he moralizes and on occasion takes the law into his own hands. I think DC looked at the success of the Dark Knight Trilogy and now they think that every hero should be Batman just to be safe, but it's really transparent. It's weird that they don't understand that we would totally be up for a live action Batman show if they wanted to just do that.

Edit:Two stray observations about the show:
1. They need to kill Barbara and Mooney and leave them dead already. Neither character is interesting and there's no believable way Gordon could get back with Barbara after all that happened. I think it'd be weird to name his daughter after her after the psycho she turned out to be so honestly I can't even see the point of keeping her around and pretending Batgirl is going to come from her either as a child or as a namesake.

2. I really wish the first season had been just Jim solving crimes and fighting corruption as a good but deeply flawed man (Batman: Year One style) that way they could have ended the first season with the murder of the Waynes. I think that would have made for a good basis.
