I think it would add an interesting wrinkle if the hospital only had a certain number of beds in it. Thus, if full, players who attempt to hospitalize you simply dump you outside the hospital instead. It would be a hybrid of the "leave" and "mug" effects, maybe.
There could be other interactions too. Maybe a merit for being the person who fills the last bed, or for being left on the curb by the hospital staff? Could be fun.
I'm looking for a couple active people who are looking for daily training and excellent perks. We're laid-back, casual, and happy to add any active player to the roster! You can find us here: https://www.torn.com/joblist.php#/p=corpinfo&ID=79523
Please reach out with an application if you're interested!
I've been racing for a while using the established guides, and I wish I had this easier-to-understand, perfectly-fine-for-newbs guide available back when I started. Great addition.
I'm having problems with the Training button, too. Clicking "train" next to any employee just sends me to the tab that usually lists out the trains rather than actually training anybody.

I used to play Ingress myself, back in the day. But I lived in DC then, there were a lot of nodes. Now I live in Florida and the nodes are few and far between. Plus, the game's not the same as it once was. I'm glad you're able to find fun, peace, and support here. Games are supposed to be fun, after all, and take our minds off our troubles! Thank you for sharing this :)
