After making a good run for it in Mr. and Ms. Torn last year (I took 3rd and he took 15th!), maybe we'll have better luck in the couple's contest? We snagged this photo today for Torn during our belated Valentines Day trip to EPCOT. Either way, I'm so glad he ended up loving Torn as much as I do. Cheers, babe!
I submitted my photo to the Ms. Torn 2018 Competition very early this year. No doubt, I capitalized on early voters and renewed patience with what is indubitably the most superficial Community Event offered by our fair city. In the last 20 days, I have had the privilege of maintaining 3rd place pretty much consistently throughout the voting period. I am not naïve enough to believe that I was voted for because of my glowing personality. I am well aware that none of the attention I have received this month is personal.
Still, it's been incredibly fun to be a recognizable member in the larger Torn Community. All the sudden, my voice in the game has sky rocketed. When I enter Global Chat, I am met with awe and welcome. Like others whom have competed, I've gotten my fair share of strange messages, and I have become an easy target for muggers and chainers. No person gets recognizable in this game without taking a few hits. But, overall, I'd say my experience in Ms. Torn 2018 has been overwhelmingly positive. As the voting period comes to a close, and my moment in the lime light is nearing up, I would like to take the opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone who voted. Crown or not, I thoroughly enjoyed being one of your top Ms. Torn Candidates this year. Thank you all so much.
I dressed up as Torn's 2021 Elim team Top Hitter for the Sea Men!
Or a RogueSubmarine.
Same thing.

To be honest, it's all been a rather humbling experience for me as well.
Nova, Turbo, Wollongong, ZEZIMA, Kata, JoeyDoughnuts77, HOLUX, AlexSosa, BillieEilish, SporkMonkey, av64, Evil-Duck, Kitty420, Stoned, Nena, EmMortal, thank you all for your kind words! You really know how to make a girl feel special.
Robbo88 and ZOMB13, creepy as it may have been, at least it made me laugh. The humor of your comments were certainly amplified by the fact that I was actually in the bath at the time I found and read through this forum thread. Alas, the water has been drained. My apologies, boys.
As for the original question DUDE posed, there are a NUMBER of Miss Torn entries I loved this year and have been so impressed with these ladies' submissions! I saw more 10's this year than I remember from last year or the year before.
Some people I'd been anticipating seeing from last year, like Sky, who's high level and dedication to the game I think deserve to be taken in account as we all vote for the title of Miss Torn, and Estelle who also had a fun Torn-themed post that made me giggle. I certainly do my fair share of wall-slutting and thought her entry was clever.
Evaline's entry also made me smile. It was clean, sweet, and humorous. Seeing her ranked so highly while remaining perfectly modest gives me hope for our community. Good on all of you, Torn Citizens.
Ishtar and Boldnerdboredom both clearly took their time to set up their scene. Both gave me SuckMyGypsy vibes with their effort and both deserve top marks in my opinion. Also-- Let's talk about Boldnerdboredom for stealing those high votes this late into the month! I certainly agree with the general consensus of this thread that it's harder to do well in this community event the later you submit.
Zean was an immediate 10 from me. She took her dang TIME with this entry. The lighting, the editing, the funny captions-- I am so surprised she is as low down in the polls as she is. I absolutely loved her entry. She's my Miss Torn.
I loved the effort Kelsie put into her entry as well, the subtleties of detail she added with the coconut bra were great.
I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone's posts for the Misses crown and it is so surreal to me to have been able to hold the first place submission this long. It is far too early for acceptance speeches, but I am absolutely flattered to have my own forum thread named after me, so thank you for that, DUDE. It's been a fun competition season so far! Wishing luck to everyone who entered this year and to those still planning their perfect submission. Let's get these merits and tokens!
Happy voting, all.

I appreciate this point of view, but counter that my going inactive for a year was a planned strategy from the jump. I am a player who has a long history of prioritizing elimination and going inactive for long periods of time. Just like you prepared for Elims by stacking your FHCs and Xanax, I planned a year in advance to go inactive, build up free refills, and come back in time for Elims 2023. My strategy was different but I played to my strengths and prioritized doing well in Elims months in advance, just like every other top hitter.
My lifestyle makes playing Torn consistently not possible. Having refills available when I come back ensures that my "burst mode" play style, although it is different than most players, is still rewarded. If you check my player activity, you can see my activity level is pretty pointed. I am a min/max player that prioritizes community events, especially Eliminations. I also go through buirsts of time where I can be active intensely, taking 3 xanax a day and training, then can't log in for weeks at a time.
I will also point out that my free refills alone would not have gotten me anywhere close to the Top Hitter spot in Backstabbers or Top 10 if I had not been using the book, Ugly Energy, in tandem. This is a one-time-use resource and arguably more valuable to a player than an eliminations' worth of FHCs and Xanax.
My success during Elims this year was not random. My playstyle is different than most, but I chose to stay away from the game for a bulk of time in order to cheaply maximize my use of Ugly Energy during a time that I could actively dedicate to the game. My win was strategy that prioritized my playstyle.
JackKelley hits the nail right on the head. Refills are meant to reward players for coming back to Torn after being away. Limiting free refills for burst players would completely defeat the point of the perk.
I don't at all feel that I "stole" a reward or am somehow not deserving of 1st place in Backstabbers. The level of activity that I dumped into the game for my team during the event speaks for itself. I feel that players like me should be encouraged to participate and continue do well in community events. At its' core, being active in this game should be rewarded, however its' approached. I think the current use of free refills is allowing for a more diverse approach to the game and limiting that would be a shame.

There should really be a way to block individual players for safety reasons.

This is certainly the calm before the storm. Those of us who do know what to expect are resting our eyes from the topic while we are able. We know it will be all consuming, soon. Those of us who don't know what to expect don't know what they're not talking about.

My question is, if my dirty bath water was requested by Torn users with a offer rate of 2B dollars back in July, what’s the going rate for a Strippogram from Mrs. Torn? 🤔
