Welp, after 355,000 bazaar sales, 10,000 unique buyers, and a lifetime sales of over $25B, I'm closing up shop for good. Why bother advertising in forum threads items in my bazaar? Ched added yet another money drain with the 5% listing fee. Great. Thanks.
And why make the buymug fee so high? 10% is about what you'd get muged for anyways, so why guarantee a mug from Ched and pay the fee up front?

Most replies are sarcastic, since you asked a very basic question. But I'm guessing you'd like a little more detail.
The jackpot on torn is different that irl slot machines you'd find in a casino. There, you'd have to place a max bet in order to win the max payout. Here in torn, there is only 1 jackpot you can win, whether you bet $10 or $10M. The way it incentivizes you to bet more money is that the higher your bet, the better odds you have of hitting the jackpot. So, while in theory you can technically win the jackpot betting only $10, your odds are impossibly low of hitting the jackpot. But even betting the max of $10M doesn't guarantee an eventual jackpot. I'm sure there are other posts here in the forums that give more detail to how much your odds increase with higher bets, but I'm too lazy to look them up.
Keep in mind these casino games are designed to take money out of torn, helping to keep the economy strong and keeping inflation in check.
FWIW, I won the jackpot a few months ago betting $100k a spin. I usually lost about 1-1.5M a day, and thought that was an acceptable amount of money to lose every day on entertainment, but damn, I got lucky and it paid off.

I do that. It's always reset the next day to zero. But now it resets to -3.
I'm a creature of habit. Been playing this game the exact same way for years. I take xanax 3 times a day. When my company drug addiction gets to -10, I get the addicted icon saying my battle stats are reduced by 1%, and then I promptly fly to Switzerland and rehab 100% of my addiction. My company drug addiction then gets reset to zero. Every time. For years.
Lately I've noticed that after a full rehab, my company addiction only goes down to -3. I'm aware the company drug addiction resets every day around 17:00 or so, but I'll take no more than 1 or 2 xanax between returning from Switzerland and the company reset. It's always reset to zero even with 1 or 2 xanax in between.
I've also observed I'm getting the addicted icon a bit early at -9 now, and that also a full rehab that used to cost me $14-15M, now costs $18-19M.
I've checked with my faction leader, and nothing has been changed with company drug addiction perks. The ONLY change to my routine was a few months ago I decided to use a few easter eggs that cut drug addiction in half, so I waited 2 or 3 times until my drug addiction got to -20 or so before taking the egg. That's it. Has Ched messed with the drug algorithm and I missed the patch list announcement?

I haven't really kept track of what pages I've found eggs this year, but something new I've noticed is that in years past eggs would spawn as soon as a new page opened up before the other graphics and text would load on the page. It was quite easy to see them as they would be the only thing on the page for a half second or so. Now, I've loaded a page, scrolled to the bottom, and then as I scroll back up, an egg would be near the top. I first thought I just missed the egg as I scrolled down, but this has happened a few times.
The other thing I'm noticing is that eggs can be found at the bottom of a page. It seemed that in years past, they were almost always at the top of the page, and no scrolling was needed.
Anyone else noticing these changes?

They do this every anniversary. You also get energy, nerve, and life with the other letters. There's a cooldown for each letter, but use them quick, as this will go away soon and you don't want to leave free stuff on the table!

I just had this problem and there was a message at the top of the tampermonkey extension saying with this new update, you have to enable Developer mode if you're using the Chrome browser. Click 3 dots upper right -> Extensions -> Manage Extensions -> toggle dev mode upper right.
