Half the stocks in the game are currently at 0 shares available, maintain "High Demand", yet their value plummets. How is that possible?
Even during Elim competition last year when thousands were in the hosp, TCHS tanked from $539 to $431. Makes me feel like the markets are manipulated by admins more than the actual demand or the "market" they are supposedly linked to.
"The TCHS stock will rise as more people need medical care" Yeah, no.
Is there a way to turn this feature off? The "camera effects" or whatever they may be called are distracting and make the page difficult to look at for me. An option for a static image would be appreciated (like Search 4 Cash, etc)
I've tried on both mobile and desktop browsers. Both just say "Spin" grayed out after the wheel is spinning and takes your money. I've lost 3,000,000 from trying to do the 1m wheel.
It doesn't change to "Stop". Can I get my money back?
Not sure why they couldn't use the same design guidelines they used for Crimes 2.0
Crimes 2.0 is also just a boxed grid layout, but the titles are in different positions, use different fonts, and respects the user colour theme. The brand new points building is forced to dark mode.
Other than the lack of consistency, it looks good in isolation. The visual on the timers is nice too.
Can I re-open this? The mission rewards issue keeps happening. It seems to occur every time I go away for the weekend and play exclusively on my phone. I log in every day and have activity I am sure you can see, but I do not get new missions. I just got one today on 11/12/23, but for 2 days I had no missions.
I'm currently posting this with TornTools enabled.
I finished all of my missions several days ago but I only have 1 new mission. I wasn't given any over the weekend, despite having activity.
00:10:43 - 18/11/23 You completed the Duke contract 'Get Things Jumping' (Expert) and received $120,000 and 70 mission credits 00:10:40 - 18/11/23 You completed the Duke contract 'Wrath of Duke' (Expert) and received $160,000 and 72 mission credits 20:49:00 - 17/11/23 You completed the Duke contract 'Unwanted Attention' (Expert) and received $176,000 and 72 mission credits 19:29:16 - 17/11/23 You completed the Duke contract 'Bountiful' (Expert) and received $0 and 61 mission credits
I believe I should have received one on the 18th, 19th and the 20th.
When the cameras are recording there is an upwards scroll effect. There is also the image behind it that refreshes, or sometimes jumps left/right a few pixels. I think the flashing and reloading ones are distracting, but the scroll seems not too bad. The initial fade-in when switching between shops is also good.

They made the colours harder to read by reducing contrast. The problem I have with this change is that the visible elements have nothing to do with screen readers that read the code to speak it out loud. Changes can be made using elements built into the HTML language to improve accessibility without making them harder to read for people without assistive tech.
No, its not. The system, and everyone in this game, know who would win many of the fights of a top 10 faction vs a bottom 10 faction based on battle stats. There is zero reason to run that match through a simulator or force players to actually endure it. We already know the outcome. The algorithm can be adjusted to factor those in, which it has. But the top factions just want more targets.
It doesn't matter if people give up or not. That's the whole point. Elim rules do not allow teams to be competitive at the end. And no I do not mean self-imposed player rules or faction/alliance rules. Teams with a large number of tickets can keep them by simply staying in the hospital. The other team can "try hard" all they want, but they won't get the tickets back in the final 4. It's over.
Yeah, that doesn't matter anymore. When it was every hour then the bottom teams could help, but with it being every 15 mins now the bottom teams can't help the team in 2nd take lives from the top team.
Competitively speaking it's already over. Teams don't try to play competitively and just fall on their swords for another team. I guess maybe you haven't watched Elim for the past few years, but nothing changes the reality of how the system works. It will take significant rule changes to allow all teams to attack a larger one and not have them sit on tickets unable to be attacked.
It's a shortcoming of the Elim rules, not a failure in the strategy of the players by any particular team. Sure, some teams are happy to take 2nd place, but that's a sad competition when people are strategizing for that. And my original point was specific to your comment about it not being over until the last life is lost. The competition is long over before then due to the rules, it's not a competitive event in the final few days, unfortunately.
I've already got my Elim win from a previous year, but I am still hopeful that significant changes will occur to make it more fun past the halfway mark.
This is never how elim has worked. Once the last team has 11k+ tickets they win for free because the other team would need to farm 11x as much just to even it out before fading away. But guess what? You can't farm that many tickets while the enemy team is in the hospital. It gets stalled out much like football. It's a pretty boring end waiting it out. Even when the winning team only has 1-2k more tickets, they still win for free by sitting in hosp.
