Yeah and I'm bummed out because according to her picture she was a smoking hot young blonde in a bikini who likes it rough. Imagine my surprise when I found out her profile pic was fake {gasp}....
I'm not sure why I feel compelled to respond, because I don't care what you really think...but you really have this backwards.
I looked on the personals for a potential wife, mainly for roommate and merits...bonus if she would flirt occasionally and bonus if she was more Torn experienced and could give tips. I sent an introductory mail asking what she was looking for, exchanged a few more mails which turned into a chat. She was nice, but over the 48 hours of chatting it became clear she expected a full time chat partner, every time I was online, multiple times per day, for more than quick hellos. She made multiple references to ex husbands ignoring her, and asked me if I was getting bored with her after 1 day of chatting.
I quickly recognized we would not be a good long term match, so I was a gentleman. I sent her a polite email to that effect and told her I knew I wouldn't meet her expectations and told her I would still enjoy keeping in touch and chatting occasionally.
And she flipped out...period. I did, in fact, the opposite of lead her on...

It wasn't that dramatic. More like needy. Every time I logged on there was a message with some reference to how I must already be tired of talking to her, or how her last husband ignored her...just wast interested in the guilt trip so I tried to be polite. Oh well. Part of the game I guess.
