I feel like I see more people complaining about vegans telling they're vegans than actual vegans telling they're vegans.
It's, again, the loud minorities. I personally know a lot of vegans. which most (if not all) of them are very rational, and only really bring the subject up if they're going out to eat etc.
But also, in my opinion, there are a lot of omnivores who are unreasonably sensitive about the whole discussion.
A book by Jonas Gardell based on real events, called "Älä koskaan pyyhi kyyneleitä paljain käsin", which would translate to "Never wipe tears away with bare hands". It's so heartbreaking and tragic, but also very beautiful.
