About 2 weeks ago I decided to step forward and do some of the art for team cupcake. After a cute idea about making everyone who asks for it a custom designed cupcake profile... things got a bit out of hand fast. 

I've currently completed over 51 differently designed cupcakes, each one custom designed by the person labelled on it. The matter of fact that WINNING the entire thing wasn't even on my radar as something we could do, just make this entire ordeal even more special to me 

So I put it all on a poster. One big poster with as many different cupcakes I could reasonably fit. With fancy titles and background and stuff.

Hey friends, I'm mostly posting this here because the forums will be deleted at the end of Elimination and I want to keep the effort that was our own internal propaganda newsletter. Each elimination, if the team is worth the effort I like working on a big creative project. Some of you may recognise me for the 2018 cupcake poster. This year, with a ton of first-timers to elimination, it was to be inspired by Sugervalves and the newsie to make a propaganda newsletter about our political moves!

The drama of Firestarters was stupid but the fact that we basically killed 3 teams out of raw survival and kept our heads high while staring political failure in the face, made trying to turn it into a good thing pretty fun, however as the team shifted to total anarchy and survival, so did I!

TL:DR: Generic member of Firestarters started a newsletter to boost motivation based on public information. I don't expect anyone to read this fully LMAO

GRUNT NEWS
DAY 4 OF ELIMINATION

It's day 4 of the elimination and we’ve already executed our first target! Jeans were by far not the weakest team on the roster and yet we executed the witch trail needed to keep our flame alight.

Only losing 10 lives to their 50 is a huge victory, one that can only be handed to the grunts on the ground with the 30-minute pushes led by the warcries from our heroes DisK, Jairyll and many others, not exclusive to members of the council! Shout out to those grunts out there who have stepped up to the plate while the council was busy!

Often 12th place brawls end with heavy losses to both alliances due to the sheer weight of being crushed down on 2 teams, however the fact we tanked the bottom rows and came out no worse for wear is a scary statement we’ve just shouted to the competition.

Politically, after we turned the fashion industry to ash a lot of really interesting things happened that should kindle your fires. First, we’re obviously a huge threat and there's a lot more political motivation to make sure we don't incur the ire of weaker teams, but secondly, the team orders around the switch were mighty interesting:

For a recap:

• The initial push was on Cops and to farm the Egg's backlines to bring them down a peg
• This lasted but 2 Ticks! Eggs dumped over 1000 tickets in just an hour as Satans lost 2 lives
• After this show of utter strength entire war shifted!:
  > We were no longer the focus of our enemies
  > We’ve switched targets to satans instead of Cops
  > The assault on Eggs was called off entirely with the damage dealt, being they’re now fighting at 0 with us.
• Now orders hype the fact we could be ticket farming after Satan's execution, which is very exciting!

Obviously we grunts can only speculate the behind-the-doors deals but it's obvious our leaders played a strong hand with some honeyed words, and we clearly executed their plan flawlessly. Nearly half the battlefield has lost lives now, we’re not in the focus fire, and we’ve guaranteed a top 10 placement. Our alliance seems to be dominant over our enemies and we’ve shown our strength to the point leaders are confident we’ll gain a small buffer soon!

If I were to put my two cents into the mix, rumour has it that Satan’s ranks have a ton of infighting and are generally demotivated and disorganised, and I’d guess someone, somewhere, convinced our enemies that they need a squishier target to try and keep satan afloat longer and cause more general destruction. What a play by whoever masterminded that plan!

But this is all speculation and theory from grunt to grunt, always be ready for what comes next. When a team dies is often when political plans spring into action so don’t think we’re out of stormy waters yet.

And remember, show our leaders some love, hype each other up and always be ready for the next tick! Because in elimination, we’re only ever surviving, never thriving, until it's over.

DAY 5 OF ELIMINATION

God guides our hand as we burn the Satanists in our holy fire! Or something like that anyway. While we were still somewhat scrapping near the bottom we still were a huge hand in laying waste to the red devils

Talking of, was damned nice not being at the bottom for a bit was pretty damned nice for a change wasn’t it? However recent events have turned torn Elimination into a political minefield, as you can probably tell from the high frequency of order changes over the recent hours. The plan was to make one of these every like, 4 days, but elimination waits for no one!

But let's get into the main reason you are here and I’m writing this shit; the minefield of the political mess that lays around us. As those who paid attention during the madness that is the discord and the fact we have some new naysayers in chat, we probably want some clarification over what happened over satanist demise. Don’t worry, I think I have a story for you.

You all can see the call early in the morning to start hitting Rain Men, and for good reason, they were kinda shitty allies who just hit everyone to try and maximise their ticket lead. We can all see how well that went for them, dropping 4000 tickets in under 8 hours as every team in elimination, except wolf Packs, dogpiled into the storm.

However, as the orders changed real quick outta nowhere, which raises some questions, but looking at attack logs and asking some questions; there was an obvious realisation that this was some sort of plot. To distract? To fix the results? We could only expect it with so many teams.

However, what was rumoured was that 5 teams had apparently decided who was going to win elimination this year; and we're planning on abusing us to get them into the top 6 and then killing us off. Given our current enemies include Ducks, Bones, Boiled, Laughing and Sleepyheads over the last few hours with a pick-and-mix over time on who to pull down, it's not hard to guess who fills that hole in the rumour.

So that leaves us, Rawring, Wolf Pack and Rain and I guess cops? Given attacks coming from cops, it's safe to assume they are hostile, very dumb or both (UPDATE MID POST: IT'S BOTH, also bones is with us now? This will be dated in hours!). Either way, this is a shifting landscape, so be sure to join the discord so you‘re always up to date!

However, the big takeaway that everyone here should see is that our leadership ain't dealing with no pre-planned bullshit, f**k that monarch shit. They aren't making deals with the devils to settle for anything less than we deserve to fight for! And we deserve so much more than 6th, you guys are monsters out there! We haven't even lost 20 lives while brawling versus 12 teams for 5 days!? Are you kidding!? that's NUTS!?

There IS a lot more nitty gritty about supposed betrayals or disagreements in upper management, but honestly, they look like they resolved real fast and we don’t need to let that pull us down. They seem to have a plan and a mine detector to light the way through this maze!

And remember, show our leaders some love, hype each other up and always be ready for the next tick! Because in elimination, we’re only ever surviving, never thriving, until it's over.

DAY 6 OF ELIMINATION

The Clowns are dead! Our molten hands are smothered in the blood of our enemies, wounding our flame as we sit in the bottom scorers for yet another brawl. I’ll be honest with you guys, all the previous grunt news has been seen by someone higher up to validate the information. This one won’t be.

To be blunt, this shits propaganda, to tell you what you'll need to hear to win mixed with my opinion. Today's post is no different. However, I don’t think some people will like it this time.

With that said, the war didn’t go without wounds. I stand here in my burned-down newsroom as we sit at the bottom row for round 4 with enough war wounds to retire on veteran benefits for the rest of our lives. We can’t help but wonder, we’ve killed 3 of our allies' enemies, our allies including public betrayers and yet we’re the ones still having to brawl for our lives?

Fundamentally the only way this happens is an utter failure from our political leaders. Either they have reached out to our opponents and have been shut down or they just haven’t reached out at all. Whatever they’ve done, they’ve done enough damage to our relations that betrayers to our enemies' alliance are deemed worthy of a higher position than us. Given how vindictive and egotistical most torn players are, that's saying something.

I would try to defend them, but the people on the other teams and the official newspaper consider our leader, and who I see as our true leaders are two entirely different sets; with the exception of 1 person who overlaps. Who even is Asgar, the person the newspaper says isn’t even in our discord, let alone leading?

THAT SAID, don’t bother playing “I told you so” or blaming factions or other bullshit, can it, the damage is done, but the damage hasn’t f**king killed us yet. We can still f**king win this with enough effort and a miracle.

I want to shout love to Jairyll, DisK, KingLion, YellowFlash, sTrOb and so many more who have kept their head held high and taken the reigns as we’re pulled underwater. These guys who have been on the battlefield with you guys side by side, these guys are our leaders in my heart.

So. It's time, let's get a little crazy.

Our lives are a little low, 10 as of writing. As I see it, that's 10 lives to cause as much chaos as we can. So, let's fuel the fire shall we?

100 million dollars will be split between every person in the comments of this forum if we kill cops before we go out. You guys deserve it. If you wondering why I want a comment, it's so I know you've been active enough to read these posts, care about elimination, and makes you really easy to if we pull it off.

DAY 7 OF ELIMINATION

The flame is out but the (m)embers remain. I want to start this final episode off by saying how f**king proud I am of the grunts here in Firestarters. You guys made this elimination as fun as it was, you guys kicked so much ass that we basically survived to 9th off raw fire-power alone.

I wanted to share some of the highlights of the raw destruction, teamwork and unity of our flame.

Legitimately, all the regulars in the chat that kept the positivity going, the leaders that stuck by our side, you made this team what it was. Thank you.

So. What went wrong?

On day 5 I said

“there was an obvious realisation that this was some sort of plot. To distract? To fix the results? We could only expect it with so many teams.”

I want to come clean by saying this was false propaganda to try and bolster faith in leadership for what was fundamentally an awful play. 9 teams dogpiled onto 1 while we were at the bottom for round 2, and when our leaders went to our current ENEMIES and they said “If you come to our side your only getting 6th” Instead of doing something sensible like, abusing the beat down on Rain Men like every other team did that gain nearly 300 score minimum and sticking with our original allies, we switched immediately because of the temporary alliance didn’t like us.

Yes. The reason why we switched twice in 2 hours was that our long-term enemies and temporary allies said that they were going to not be friendly and force a poor position if we stayed with them. Mind-blowing. Also, leadership threw LTJELLOMAN under the bus for no explained reason aside from potentially leaking stuff, maybe to distract from this mess? That entire situation is so confusing and I don’t fully understand what happened.

At which point, after we’re scrapping with clowns and Kitty realises that she literally stabbed every team in the back and has 0 political power anymore, they just leave. Fully radio silent except to double the bounty put on Cops 2 days later after we started losing lives again. Sorry buddy, you don’t get to buy my respect.

So the leaders who remain do what they can with whatever alliances we used to hold but it becomes apparent to all of us after hours of no new orders or updates; that we'd been abandoned. The leaders mentioned on day 6, Jairyll, DisK, KingLion and YellowFlash, did their best with what they had but it was clear that anarchy rained now because nothing mattered more than survival.

And yet in anarchy, we found comradery. Thanks to our previous allies who in our silence stood with us still. I’ll be honest, we kinda just hit everyone who had people we could hit to stay afloat like Rainmen did while they were ticket farming days 1 and 2. But, to say there wasn’t an opportunity to fix this would be lying

I went to King Lion, one of Kitty’s appointed leaders and told him that we needed a public ousting of Kitty, make a show that there is new leadership and start making some deals. Rain men had just turned on wolf and there was a prime opportunity to get us out of this mess. If he wasn’t on board, get another leader to do it. He agreed, and after sending me a preview that was a half-hearted attempt to retake control and was more a defence of Kitty, he requested I help him write something better. So I did, I ghost-wrote the message with gaps with notes on what to fill and left him to make it obviously not my writing style and went to sleep.

Where’s the message Lion? We were running on hours. Where was the war cry and where was the diplomacy? Did you flake at the last moment because kitty is one of your friends? Did you not have faith in one of the strongest teams that didn’t give up til the end? Kitty came in chat and said they were giving you control and with this opportunity to start afresh you did NOTHING.

So, the only heroes of this story are you guys, the main audience of grunt news. The first timers who have learned the politics of Elimination, the regulars who banded together to cause as much destruction as possible, and those in the council who stood by our side and did everything in their limited power to keep us afloat.

But remember, while elimination may be over, show EACH OTHER some love, make connections while the channels are still open and I hope you're ready for next year! Because in elimination, we were only ever surviving, never thriving, until it was over.

I have no idea if this part of the forums even does self-made graphics showcasing, being it's nothing but auctions, but I'm proud enough of this custom bazaar banner to put it somewhere shareable. Most of the items on display are actual things I commonly sell from stocks or flying, so, have fun identifying them.

Also ya'll should sell bazaar banners, haven't seen many offer it.. A wild phenomenon I've found since I've started using this is I haven't been buy mugged? Like, not once in the 3 months I've had it on my page? It may be a coincidence but looking at the prices ya'll put on art around here and if this is actually a repeatable trend, ya'll could actually save money buying one.

So my plan this year was to go hard with Dog Tags this year, because having a 0 drugs gay furry beating a bunch of try-hards and sitting in the top 100 would be really funny given how much I see people trying to be big men, starting playground dramas, thinking their hot shit while I'm out here playing fancy cookie clicker... It's also an achievement I can be proud of but that's a side thing. (41st, if people cared :D)

However, as the event closes I realise that f**king nobody actually tries in dog tags.

Just to run some basic maths for the class:

> We'll assume 1350 energy/day [3 Xannax, 1 Refill, 3 Natural bars]
> Event lasts 9 days
> We'll assume they only collect rank 10 tags, due to being the most abundant (over 130,000 available) yet reasonably scoring tag.
> Using myself as a reference, I have 7085 tags and lost 1336 (8421 total) 15.8% total score was stolen.

1350E * 9 days = 12150E
12150E / 25E = 486 attacks
486 Attacks * 10 points = 4860 Score.
4860 Score - 15.8% Losses = 4090 Final Score. (rounded to the nearest 10)

That puts you just under the top 100. You can be a top 100 Dogtags player with the most basic strategy just by burning a week of E. No booster cooldown, no energetic weapon, no job points, no pre-stacking, and no tag scoring above a 10.

Hopefully in the future, we see more reasons for people to actually participate with some actual effort. If you already have the 2 merits, activating your tag in the last hours gets you more event tokens than most people get in elimination, You only need about 1600 score for 10 tokens, 600 to get 9.

Full energy bar turns into about half a mil in stats right now. I have no idea how this is vs normal, but it for sure can't be worth losing the combat stats of Vid, the 750/day energy of Xannax, the sheer power of Love Juice, and the at least 11 merits, lmao.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the highest score and placement achieved by an SSL account in Dog Tags. One could imagine doing well in Dog tags is made significantly harder when 750E/Day, or around 270 extra attacks in the entire event.(about 40% more than I made)

This combined while only hitting inactive players, not using any plugins or external tools, not gaining a single enemy, and not doing any drugs, I'm more than happy with my 7k score and 41st placement for essentially playing the event on Hard Mode.

Either way, doubt I'll be going for the top 25 in the future. The amount of money, eternal help, effort, resources and enemies I'd need to make just to have a chance to pull it off is way more than I'm willing to hunt.

Of course, the first bit of furry drama in torn is so cringe, with the main cahracter that's so far in the deep end its a 50/50 if it's actually a troll or someone high off the worst parts of the furry world.

Of course it's one of the cupcake leaders who won with 10 lives who decided "Nah that's not enough, gotta go lower."

90 minutes was all that was in it.
3 more random ticks during the 10v2.
If leaders just took longer to reply to messages.

So much could have changed this entire outcome. This Elim was insane.

Y'all were my favourites to win, if it wasnt for that last second resurgance from rain it would have been a minimum of 4 executions, maybe even more. Imo this team made elim so fun to watch even after being knocked out. Gg guys!

Rain men have all Elim been outed by allies for weak pushes and being complacent being on high tickets. I struggle to believe 4 teams are sitting on you guys that hard that TB could get up to 1k tickets scott-free instead of brawling at you at 0 tickets, especially as you only need to beat them in 16 30-minute brawls to gain another position.

This is another thing leaders do and is a huge part of Elim OP; Motivation.

It's the difference between your grunts burning E training and crying on the forums because they think it's over when you've only lost 10 lives, VS gaining another position as you fight tooth and nail against unfavourable odds. Fire starters killed Laughing Stock and ate half of Cops' lives just because the leaders who remained pumped the motivation to survive and see if they can gain some extra places, and they had 6 teams being down on them when they died I believe.

It's a healthy balance between Leadership and Gruntwork. Leadership dictates how far you get, gruntwork decides the exact position.

Leaderships make deals so that you only have half the elimination against you at all times
Gruntwork makes sure the leader's plans work by not dying.

One can't exist without the other: A leader's words mean nothing if they can't execute them.

Withithout both, good teams fall to lower places. Fire starters only got 9th despite a crazy grunt team surviving on the bottom for 3.5 rounds with a failed leadership, Rainmen's diplomacy only got them this far but their gruntwork has been famously lazy this elimination and they're burning lives as we speak because of it. (Go Bones!)

That said, politics make for better news, interesting stories and easy scapegoats for when your team fails. Luckily, Most teams have fallen with grace this year so the retrospectives have just been kinda wholesome karma farms rather than vindictive drama starters.

I want to shout out Totally Boned for being on their way to their 3rd Execution will Kill streaks of 12, 3 sets of 7, and an Ongoing 11. With still 20 life left, Politics aside, that's a team who has a grunt team that can haul ass and 100% deserves to win. Would be a legendary story, break the lowest life % win record (which I think belongs to Cupcakes at 40%), and make the 2022 elimination legendary, especially with how much of an underdog they are Vs Rain and Wolf.

Go on Bones, you got this!

The replies here are why casual players don't come to the forums and get into torn seriously guys.

Sure, 35 attacks as not much but it's also above 50% of his entire team and rarely is elimination about total attacks made per person but the timing of those attacks.

Ya'll bullied someone out of eliminations who was pulling at least above team average and active enough to join forums out of a CASUAL, PUBLIC EVENT designed for EVERYONE TO PARTICIPATE IN because he was naive enough to talk about activity on the forums. if everyone in the game took this forum's advice about who can play in Eliminations, teams would have 50 members max. That's just randomised Factions. Stfu.

Not all of us are tryhards who sit and stroke their LVL 100, 10b stats and 100b networth and see Xanax, Feathers and Point refills as entertainment tools and not major expenses. We don't look at the alive lists as and an endless bounty of targets but as something to filter through to find someone we can guarantee a kill on. Some of us don't have the stats to stay out of the hospital for more than 2 minutes to even make enough attacks without burning through medical supplies.

Ya'll suck. Get a grip.

Simply, being we can't try before we buy, I would like a new data point with the clothing info box that follows an easy layering system.

For example, "Under Armour" and "Over Armour" would fit my needs however I imagine it's a little more complicated than that. The main goal is to separate the Wet Suit and the Santa jacket to say that these are fundamentally different items mechanically.

Due to the addition of Ranked War armours adding actual variation in armour, and hiding it can actually give a deception boost of how tanky you are if you miss the 0.2 seconds it loads at the start of a fight, combined with the fact I just want to look pretty without sacrificing stats, it'll be nice to know if something is equipable before you spend the cash. Especially as they are often multi-million clothing items only obtained by monthly Subscriptions, boss caches or billion-dollar stock bonds.

I don't want to risk the cash on something incompatible, let alone newer, poorer players getting into the fashion industry.

I had hoped that proper randomisation of this year would severely nerf the amount of control of the prominent factions to rig this public event—God how wrong I was hahaha. At least there were some betrayal and political moves this year and it wasn't just fixed from the start so we could pretend there was some actual competition. Even if some of those moves were laughably shit. RIP Fire starters ♥

It was nice to see that most teams were pretty balanced tho. Jeans, Satans and Quacks are obvious weaker being they have taken huge life-loss chains but even then, powerful teams like Fire-starters got bodied with enough time so it def felt fairer in terms of Gruntwork.

In terms of picking teams, I won't lie in previous years I mostly pick the name that's the least cringe and has the coolest art potential. But I feel like that's more on the TORN team to not pick awful names as they did in 2020 and half of the ones in 2021. If I GOT to choose, 100% I'd commit furry crimes on the members of Wolf Pack and make their lives just a little more miserable than the newspaper is making it out to be.

But it's also nice to know that the team you chose isn't also doomed to die first because 14 people across the other teams hate 1 dude who joined yours like in... 2019? It's entirely out of your hands if you end up on a team turned into a statement with an 11 V 1, which is a little more comforting for missing out on a proper chance for a yearly event.

Each elimination, if the team is worth the effort I like working on a big creative project. Some of you may recognise me for the 2018 cupcake poster. This year, with a ton of first-timers to elimination, it was to be inspired by Sugervalves and the newsie to make a propaganda newsletter about our political moves!

The drama of Firestarters was stupid but the fact that we basically killed 3 teams out of raw survival and kept our heads high while staring political failure in the face, made trying to turn it into a good thing pretty fun, however as the team shifted to total anarchy and survival, so did I!

TL:DR: Generic member of Firestarters started a newsletter to boost motivation based on public information. I don't expect anyone to read this fully LMAO

GRUNT NEWS
DAY 4 OF ELIMINATION

It's day 4 of the elimination and we’ve already executed our first target! Jeans were by far not the weakest team on the roster and yet we executed the witch trail needed to keep our flame alight.

Only losing 10 lives to their 50 is a huge victory, one that can only be handed to the grunts on the ground with the 30-minute pushes led by the warcries from our heroes DisK, Jairyll and many others, not exclusive to members of the council! Shout out to those grunts out there who have stepped up to the plate while the council was busy!

Often 12th place brawls end with heavy losses to both alliances due to the sheer weight of being crushed down on 2 teams, however the fact we tanked the bottom rows and came out no worse for wear is a scary statement we’ve just shouted to the competition.

Politically, after we turned the fashion industry to ash a lot of really interesting things happened that should kindle your fires. First, we’re obviously a huge threat and there's a lot more political motivation to make sure we don't incur the ire of weaker teams, but secondly, the team orders around the switch were mighty interesting:

For a recap:

• The initial push was on Cops and to farm the Egg's backlines to bring them down a peg
• This lasted but 2 Ticks! Eggs dumped over 1000 tickets in just an hour as Satans lost 2 lives
• After this show of utter strength entire war shifted!:
  > We were no longer the focus of our enemies
  > We’ve switched targets to satans instead of Cops
  > The assault on Eggs was called off entirely with the damage dealt, being they’re now fighting at 0 with us.
• Now orders hype the fact we could be ticket farming after Satan's execution, which is very exciting!

Obviously we grunts can only speculate the behind-the-doors deals but it's obvious our leaders played a strong hand with some honeyed words, and we clearly executed their plan flawlessly. Nearly half the battlefield has lost lives now, we’re not in the focus fire, and we’ve guaranteed a top 10 placement. Our alliance seems to be dominant over our enemies and we’ve shown our strength to the point leaders are confident we’ll gain a small buffer soon!

If I were to put my two cents into the mix, rumour has it that Satan’s ranks have a ton of infighting and are generally demotivated and disorganised, and I’d guess someone, somewhere, convinced our enemies that they need a squishier target to try and keep satan afloat longer and cause more general destruction. What a play by whoever masterminded that plan!

But this is all speculation and theory from grunt to grunt, always be ready for what comes next. When a team dies is often when political plans spring into action so don’t think we’re out of stormy waters yet.

And remember, show our leaders some love, hype each other up and always be ready for the next tick! Because in elimination, we’re only ever surviving, never thriving, until it's over.

DAY 5 OF ELIMINATION

God guides our hand as we burn the Satanists in our holy fire! Or something like that anyway. While we were still somewhat scrapping near the bottom we still were a huge hand in laying waste to the red devils

Talking of, was damned nice not being at the bottom for a bit was pretty damned nice for a change wasn’t it? However recent events have turned torn Elimination into a political minefield, as you can probably tell from the high frequency of order changes over the recent hours. The plan was to make one of these every like, 4 days, but elimination waits for no one!

But let's get into the main reason you are here and I’m writing this shit; the minefield of the political mess that lays around us. As those who paid attention during the madness that is the discord and the fact we have some new naysayers in chat, we probably want some clarification over what happened over satanist demise. Don’t worry, I think I have a story for you.

You all can see the call early in the morning to start hitting Rain Men, and for good reason, they were kinda shitty allies who just hit everyone to try and maximise their ticket lead. We can all see how well that went for them, dropping 4000 tickets in under 8 hours as every team in elimination, except wolf Packs, dogpiled into the storm.

However, as the orders changed real quick outta nowhere, which raises some questions, but looking at attack logs and asking some questions; there was an obvious realisation that this was some sort of plot. To distract? To fix the results? We could only expect it with so many teams.

However, what was rumoured was that 5 teams had apparently decided who was going to win elimination this year; and we're planning on abusing us to get them into the top 6 and then killing us off. Given our current enemies include Ducks, Bones, Boiled, Laughing and Sleepyheads over the last few hours with a pick-and-mix over time on who to pull down, it's not hard to guess who fills that hole in the rumour.

So that leaves us, Rawring, Wolf Pack and Rain and I guess cops? Given attacks coming from cops, it's safe to assume they are hostile, very dumb or both (UPDATE MID POST: IT'S BOTH, also bones is with us now? This will be dated in hours!). Either way, this is a shifting landscape, so be sure to join the discord so you‘re always up to date!

However, the big takeaway that everyone here should see is that our leadership ain't dealing with no pre-planned bullshit, f**k that monarch shit. They aren't making deals with the devils to settle for anything less than we deserve to fight for! And we deserve so much more than 6th, you guys are monsters out there! We haven't even lost 20 lives while brawling versus 12 teams for 5 days!? Are you kidding!? that's NUTS!?

There IS a lot more nitty gritty about supposed betrayals or disagreements in upper management, but honestly, they look like they resolved real fast and we don’t need to let that pull us down. They seem to have a plan and a mine detector to light the way through this maze!

DAY 6 OF ELIMINATION

The Clowns are dead! Our molten hands are smothered in the blood of our enemies, wounding our flame as we sit in the bottom scorers for yet another brawl. I’ll be honest with you guys, all the previous grunt news has been seen by someone higher up to validate the information. This one won’t be.

To be blunt, this shits propaganda, to tell you what you'll need to hear to win mixed with my opinion. Today's post is no different. However, I don’t think some people will like it this time.

With that said, the war didn’t go without wounds. I stand here in my burned-down newsroom as we sit at the bottom row for round 4 with enough war wounds to retire on veteran benefits for the rest of our lives. We can’t help but wonder, we’ve killed 3 of our allies' enemies, our allies including public betrayers and yet we’re the ones still having to brawl for our lives?

Fundamentally the only way this happens is an utter failure from our political leaders. Either they have reached out to our opponents and have been shut down or they just haven’t reached out at all. Whatever they’ve done, they’ve done enough damage to our relations that betrayers to our enemies' alliance are deemed worthy of a higher position than us. Given how vindictive and egotistical most torn players are, that's saying something.

I would try to defend them, but the people on the other teams and the official newspaper consider our leader, and who I see as our true leaders are two entirely different sets; with the exception of 1 person who overlaps. Who even is Asgar, the person the newspaper says isn’t even in our discord, let alone leading?

THAT SAID, don’t bother playing “I told you so” or blaming factions or other bullshit, can it, the damage is done, but the damage hasn’t f**king killed us yet. We can still f**king win this with enough effort and a miracle.

I want to shout love to Jairyll, DisK, KingLion, YellowFlash, sTrOb and so many more who have kept their head held high and taken the reigns as we’re pulled underwater. These guys who have been on the battlefield with you guys side by side, these guys are our leaders in my heart.

So. It's time, let's get a little crazy.

Our lives are a little low, 10 as of writing. As I see it, that's 10 lives to cause as much chaos as we can. So, let's fuel the fire shall we?

If you wondering why I want a comment, it's so I know you've been active enough to read these posts, care about elimination, and makes you really easy to if we pull it off.

DAY 7 OF ELIMINATION

The flame is out but the (m)embers remain. I want to start this final episode off by saying how f**king proud I am of the grunts here in Firestarters. You guys made this elimination as fun as it was, you guys kicked so much ass that we basically survived to 9th off raw fire-power alone.

I wanted to share some of the highlights of the raw destruction, teamwork and unity of our flame.

Legitimately, all the regulars in the chat that kept the positivity going, the leaders that stuck by our side, you made this team what it was. Thank you.

So. What went wrong?

On day 5 I said

“there was an obvious realisation that this was some sort of plot. To distract? To fix the results? We could only expect it with so many teams.”

I want to come clean by saying this was false propaganda to try and bolster faith in leadership for what was fundamentally an awful play. 9 teams dogpiled onto 1 while we were at the bottom for round 2, and when our leaders went to our current ENEMIES and they said “If you come to our side your only getting 6th” Instead of doing something sensible like, abusing the beat down on Rain Men like every other team did that gain nearly 300 score minimum and sticking with our original allies, we switched immediately because of the temporary alliance didn’t like us.

Yes. The reason why we switched twice in 2 hours was that our long-term enemies and temporary allies said that they were going to not be friendly and force a poor position if we stayed with them. Mind-blowing. Also, leadership threw LTJELLOMAN under the bus for no explained reason aside from potentially leaking stuff, maybe to distract from this mess? That entire situation is so confusing and I don’t fully understand what happened.

At which point, after we’re scrapping with clowns and Kitty realises that she literally stabbed every team in the back and has 0 political power anymore, they just leave. Fully radio silent except to double the bounty put on Cops 2 days later after we started losing lives again. Sorry buddy, you don’t get to buy my respect.

So the leaders who remain do what they can with whatever alliances we used to hold but it becomes apparent to all of us after hours of no new orders or updates; that we'd been abandoned. The leaders mentioned on day 6, Jairyll, DisK, KingLion and YellowFlash, did their best with what they had but it was clear that anarchy rained now because nothing mattered more than survival.

And yet in anarchy, we found comradery. Thanks to our previous allies who in our silence stood with us still. I’ll be honest, we kinda just hit everyone who had people we could hit to stay afloat like Rainmen did while they were ticket farming days 1 and 2. But, to say there wasn’t an opportunity to fix this would be lying

I went to King Lion, one of Kitty’s appointed leaders and told him that we needed a public ousting of Kitty, make a show that there is new leadership and start making some deals. Rain men had just turned on wolf and there was a prime opportunity to get us out of this mess. If he wasn’t on board, get another leader to do it. He agreed, and after sending me a preview that was a half-hearted attempt to retake control and was more a defence of Kitty, he requested I help him write something better. So I did, I ghost-wrote the message with gaps with notes on what to fill and left him to make it obviously not my writing style and went to sleep.

Where’s the message Lion? We were running on hours. Where was the war cry and where was the diplomacy? Did you flake at the last moment because kitty is one of your friends? Did you not have faith in one of the strongest teams that didn’t give up til the end? Kitty came in chat and said they were giving you control and with this opportunity to start afresh you did NOTHING.

So, the only heroes of this story are you guys, the main audience of grunt news. The first timers who have learned the politics of Elimination, the regulars who banded together to cause as much destruction as possible, and those in the council who stood by our side and did everything in their limited power to keep us afloat.

But remember, while elimination may be over, show EACH OTHER some love, make connections while the channels are still open and I hope you're ready for next year! Because in elimination, we were only ever surviving, never thriving, until it was over.
