Apologies if this has been brought up before. As I've been led to believe, this currently isn't possible. I think it would be fair to be able to do this under the right circumstances.

I'd like a particular username that is taken. The account in question is 3225 days old - they have been inactive for 3115. This means that they were active for around 110 days and in that time reached level 6. I think it is fair to say in this example that they aren't likely to come back.

My proposal would be to claim their name, in which case they would be assigned a randomly generated replacement and emailed accordingly should they ever feel the need to come back.

OR

I request that particular username. Torn emails the current owner of said username and if consent is given or no reply within, say 30 days, then I can claim that username.

What do you think?

I had a quick search and can't see anything other than Hemi bringing this up off the back of another suggestion recently.

I reckon it would be useful if members of a faction who have app perms were to receive a notification when an app is received, not just leader & co.
