I hate this stereotype. I've always taken my coffee black. I like the taste. I don't think it makes me 'manlier' than people who take milk, be that the animal variety or 'milk' derived from plants. To each their own. Palates vary from person to person.
Don't get me wrong, I think I should get to jump the queue at a coffee shop, but only in the way I let people in front of me in a supermarket when I have a full trolley and they only have a couple of items.

Yes this measure seems insane, and can be easily used by the opposition to paint an inneffectual government (there are easier ways, by the way, but these ways aren't conducive to the fear mongering tactics which will ultimately lead to the next government being Reform). Yes our immigration system needs a hell of a lot of work. Yes the EU needs to step up on their end (which was supposedly going to happen the instant Brexit went through).
But is it really that bad? It isn't going to lead to more sexual assaults and is relatively a cheap measure even if it only has a nominal effect. If this is the only measure in place, then the government definitely needs to do more. If it's part of a wider policy then what is the actual problem?
I'm standing by waiting to be called a lefty by the mouth foamers who can only see one issue at a time. We can't (and shouldn't) just close our borders. Sure it's an issue that needs time and money spent on solving, but there are plenty of other issues in this country that need just as much if not more attention. People who think ending immigration will solve all of our problems are, quite frankly, devastatingly misinformed.
When I was cheffing it went further than that. I don't know if the rules have changed since, but all of our beef products could actually be traced back to the cow from which it originated.
