It's Our Right to Have Guns · · 7 likes

Before we even start. I want to let everyone know that no matter how much we restrict gun laws no criminal mindset thinks " This is against the law, so we shouldn't do that."

Many have talked about the touchy and trending topic of banning guns and taking them away from the people.

Do you think if we ban guns from our stores and gun shops, everyone will be safe? Wrong. If we take the guns away, only the bad people with the wrong mind will have them.

I am scared for our country and what will happen to it if ignorance amalgamates our nation's smarts and intelligence.

Many children and adults are highly uneducated about the situation of taking our guns away, or what really will happen if we do. 54% of people say yes to banning guns and only 46% say no.

What happens if you are in your house and you hear people downstairs with guns? I don’t want to get meticulously, though I will if that makes you see what will happen. If you had a chance to save your brother, uncle, sister, aunt, daughter, mother, father, etc. wouldn’t you take it? Wouldn’t you take your gun and take a life to save your own?

The Second Amendment shall not be infringed. No matter how much gun control we have it will not stop people from hurting others.

Us as humans will find another way to attack, kill, or hurt each other. It is terrible. No one wants it but that doesn’t mean people won’t still do it.

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." - Thomas Jefferson, Virginia Constitution, Draft 1, 1776. No thing, person, or government should take our rights as a free man or woman. So why are we letting them take away our guns?

Especially since it’s not even the guns that are the problem! Yes! The guns are not the problem it’s the people controlling the guns.

London had more murders than New York City. With a slim difference of New York City having 21 and London having 22. Why do I bring up London though? Because England banned guns, yet has more killings.

Jim Morgan killed 918 people 304 being children. What gun did that? What AR-15 killed 918 people? Not one gun killed a single one of those people. No weapon touched those people actually. He killed all of those people with Kool-Aid mixed with cyanide poisoning.

Everybody knows about 9/11, but does everyone remember when those terrorists took over planes with guns? I sure hope you don’t “remember” that part because it wasn’t done with a firearm. The hijacking of the 9/11 planes had been done with handheld box cutters.

In 2015, 391,000 people were injured do to motorized vehicles accidents.

In the Oklahoma City Bombing, 168 people died yet not any gun was involved. I do know a truck and explosives were involved.

So what do we do? Do we ban Kool-Aid, Box Cutters, and cars? Obviously not is what you’re thinking because that would be silly. That’s what it is with guns it’s silly to ban something that us as people are controlling; it’s not the guns; it’s the people.

Our guns are used for 3 things: defense, hunting and the government. In 1933 a 44 year old man took people’s guns to weaken their defense and then began to kill over 6 million jews. That man’s name was Adolf Hitler. Taking away our guns could possibly (as bad as this sounds) take away our voice.

Legalize Marijuana in the USA and Everywhere Else · · 5 likes

Before we start. I want you guys to keep in mind that liking my posts make me want to post more. Or you could tell me to put a sock in it lol. I'm just starting as a writer so hit me up with advice.

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is an active chemical  that is in cannabis  which has pain relieving properties and is largely responsible for the high.

“Marijuana is a gateway drug and numbs brain cells, anything that does that should not be legalized.” I agree, numbing brain cells isn’t the best thing we can be doing, but scientists and doctors are still conducting research to cancel that side effect.

The debate of marijuana being a gateway drug has been going on for years and has been proven wrong many times.

For example the NIDA ( National Institute on Drug Abuse ) states “people will not attempt harder substances.”

After Colorado’s legalization of recreational cannabis sale and use, opioid-related deaths decreased more than 6% in the following 2 years,” write authors Melvin D. Livingston, Tracey E. Barnett, Chris Delcher and Alexander C. Wagenaar.

An important reason to legalize marijuana is it relieves stress. The website Vice says stress test lab rats are less likely to get addicted then the “stoner rats.” Stoner rats are rats that have ate edibles (THC filled foods.)

Vice also said that marijuana doesn’t just relieve stress it also helps stop other addictions to different drugs.

According to senior researcher Samir Haj-Dahmane, he stated that marijuana can help stabilize your mood and even ease depression.

Another reason to legalize marijuana is it will open jobs.

If cannabis is legalized in all 50 states the government would create at least 131.8 billion dollars in tax revenue over the next 8 years.

When marijuana is legalized over 782,000 jobs will be created and according to Newsweek in 2025 that number will change to 1.1 million.

Colorado had 2.4 billion dollars in economic growth and 18,000 full time jobs when cannabis was legalized in 2015. Many people lose jobs because they test positive for drug tests.

Michael Phelps had a photo of him smoking marijuana released and only lost one sponsor.

So basically in unsaid words other big groups/companies support marijuana. That or he would have lost a bunch more sponsors.

Most importantly medical marijuana use is what America needs the most for which it helps muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis, nausea from cancer chemotherapy, poor appetite and weight loss caused by chronic illness, such as HIV, or nerve pain, seizure disorders and Crohn's disease.
