The amount of time I spent writing this is more than what I've spent on writing a uni essay...

Note: This guide will only apply up to level 15, since I only have experience in the level I'm up to (which is level 15).

Trading Guide:

- Most important if you can be bothered and have the time; read other guides on trading aspects... srsly it is very helpful and you will be full of intelligences after.

- Don't focus too much on searching the dump, from my experience, I have found a variety of items, from medical to other cheap, unnecessary stuff that you wouldn't benefit from. Although it is possible to sell a few stuffs (maybe some morphine or first aid kits you find, it won't help you level that much), so finish off quests and use your energy to attack others. Perhaps keep some of the people you find in missions on your enemies list too as it will aid in levelling and you can repeatedly attack them and mug 'em for moneys.

- Get on the bricks and beers asap (not limited to those 2 items though) and look for someone/multiple people to sell to. Don't sell items in the shops unless you have the bazaar as you will get a small tax for each item you sell (the listings are separate without the bazaar), and look for someone who is a credible trader (search 'em up, scope 'em out), doesn't take too long to check and if you find someone nice, you will get 10x as much (e.g. beer bought at shops are $5 and they may give you $500 for it). It might be less pay, but its a lot safer, and youve gained a trading buddy who you can also ask for advice and help.

- In relation to the post above, if you have a bazaar, and someone has bought your items and robbed you (buy-mugging), you can add them to your enemies list and they wont be able to buy from your bazaar. You are also able to buy maximum 100 items a day, so dont forget to buy those items at Bits n Bobs every day.

- I have never really done this much in torn myself, but I thought it would be important to mention. If you have a lot of time, or are super organised, you can always do the low buy, sell high thing. Ive personally done this in a lot of other games with economies, but its simply looking for items that are cheaper than normal, and holding them until theyve gone up in price to make a profit. This is usually done with points as well as stocks (or at least thats what Ive seen), but this method will come in very handy when you reach level 15 and are able to fly. I havent really been able to use this for normal items in the market, except for the usual Bits n Bobs items, but in relation to buying things overseas, it is important to keep this in mind when looking at starting on items such as drugs, plushies or flowers etc. Personally, Ive stuck with buying the full set of flowers, as together they can be traded in for points, however you cannot trade them in for points until you have learned a full course (so find someone who will buy the sets at a decent price you can make a profit on). If you are looking at comparing which items overseas would bring more profit, make sure to calculate the amount spent altogether, how long each flight is, and the profit it will make if you were to sell them in the market. Be wary of selling high costing items (e.g. Xanax) as you will be a target for higher level players.

- In terms of storing the money you gain throughout trading, there are multiple ways you could do it; continuously move the money in bookies, or putting them in the bank (itd be there for minimum a week) so make sure to keep some on you since you cant touch it till the end of the period, and putting them in trades with someone you know is also an option. If youre level 15, youre able to store money in the offshore account on Cayman Islands (25-minute flight) and if youve got everything set up for houses, you can store in the vault.

- Crime wise, its good to do the 3-nerve crime until you can start shoplifting Jackets (4-nerve crime). At a certain point of doing 2-3 nerves, stealing jackets will always bring a green, and those jackets may also be sold alongside the beers and bricks for a decent amount (yeah, some weirdo out there just buys mass jackets).

- Not that important to touch up on, but the casino section isnt really something you should use. If you feel like blowing some money though, go for it. Reiterating from before, its best to use only the bookies area of the casino for storing the fat stacks.

- Also not that important for trading, but joining a faction may be quite beneficial, especially if youre starting out. You might be able to get some aid in terms of items, money, perks and help from other players in the group. They may be the gateway into an introduction for trading, so dont rule out factions if there is a good opportunity.

- Lastly, it is good to note that this would mainly apply for those who arent willing to buy a subscription or DPs, of course you can still use this if you see some decent info in here and have those 2 items listed, but this is all based on my experience without buying anything using the irl moneyz. If you can afford to buy those items, thats a whole nother trading story.

I tried buying 500 points @ 52,000 each for 26mil and my money is gone but I didn't gain any points. I've searched everywhere if I maybe just misplaced the money or put it in a bookie, but it is no where to be found.

1. what has taught you the most about trading and had the biggest impact on your growth as a trader?

Definitely the wiki's and forums, although some guides are quite in depth and require a lot of reading, it's worth taking a look, and has helped me gain a greater understanding about trading. Also asking people and friends has contributed to my growth as a trader, (not that i sell much anyways lel), as they are able to tell me through experience; what to do and what not to do.

2. What do you wish you had done differently when you were starting out?

100% not holding out on a level, choosing to do the right crimes, and as well as checking out guides beforehand. If I started out again, I would get to level 15 asap and start trading there. I also wouldn't waste my time with gambling/betting, but it is still fun.

3. What advice would you give to new players selling bricks and beers to save up for a bazaar?

Although bricks and beers are a decent amount of income, I would suggest that they get to level 15 as that is where they could start to earn enough moneyz to buy the bazaar. I would also suggest not bothering w/ the gamblings.
