This is a possible way to look at the conversation. Though at first glance it certainly looks like Gracie accepted the terms and I would likely agree with anyone saying no mercs was agreed on from what is shown.
I think Kapten is saying that both leaders did a poor job of being clear and it should be spelled out better than it was, because it really should be.
Name calling is certainly uncalled for and I'd expect better from Lex Wolverines.
Yeah, both leaders. I've never been part of war negotiations, but I always imagined clear things being spelled out separately and clearly agreed to by both sides, which is quite obviosly not the case here.
Like I said, I personally interpret the screenshot as Gracie agreeing to the terms.
But it could have been done clearer. You can see people not affiliated with either faction saying as much. Like the person I quoted for example.
And the followup was quite horrible, Lex should have been more gracious and own up to the misunderstanding, which would have removed the need for this whole discussion.
I literally said that I understood the conversation as Gracie accepting all the terms outlined and that they shouldn't have done what they did and should have been apologetic after they did what they did.
Outside that, some neutral parties have said that it is somewhat ambiguous. In my mind that doesn't excuse using the mercenaries and it shouldn't have been done, but neutral people have said that the conversation was just poor. Both of them should have been better, Gracie with pointing out separate points, Prowl confirming them.
I am just saying that IN ADDITION to these things the terms should be spelled out better. Cause duh, you want clear statements and no wiggle room to say something was misunderstood or something was unclear.
You fly abroad to get some plushies/flowers, you get to your country of choice you have to click the amount space, delete the ever present "1" and insert the number that is often your maximum amount of things you can buy abroad. Sometimes you get mugged while buying the lovely soft toys, sometimes you're on mobile and it takes you more than it should, to insert the correct amount and press on that small space with your fingers.
My suggestion is adding a Buy Max button abroad, which would fill your whole inventory with whatever item it is you'd like to buy. As with the normal buy button you'd get asked for a confirmation and amount of money required. This could be extended to the city shops like Bits n Bobs, because most of the time when you're buying beer, you're aiming to get the whole 100. Might be useful for the Item Market, though it might be more difficult to implement.
I understand it doesn't seem like a lot, but that small amount of time saved adds up over time. Especially if you're on mobile, because then it probably takes you twice as long to enter everything and make sure things are correct. As someone who makes most of their money off flying I would love this addition and I think it would help with newcomers that have reached level 15 already.
Edit. Just wanted to add, this was the most fun team I've been a part of so far. The mood was overwhelmingly positive even when we were going down. It was also the strongest team this event. As it was mentioned already, we managed to get someone else to lose a life getting dogpiled 1v6. Every push we had leads, we had new people constantly asking for targets and trying to hit stuff. Great team, I'm worried I might not get another one like this again.
Did you read the first paragraph of what you're replying to? Doesn't seem that way to me.
Edit. That is me calling Gracie out for doing things wrong, for the record. You know, in the first paragraph. Then me saying other things, IN ADDITION to that, as a side note.
Edit 2. Yes, I do think people should spell things out clearly, due to the incredible amount of times miscommunications have happened with wars. For example Raelyn sharing her experience in dealing with this stuff in this very thread. Like, you keep seeing threads and complaints similar to this one, so maybe let's get better at it?

Can anyone confirm whether a person who has finished planning for their part in the crime can then leave that crime without losing the planning time or if that planning time is then completely lost, even if there are more people ready to do planning?
Also, if you have started planning for a role and then swap to a different role within the same crime, does the progress carry over or is it lost?
How are you planning to do this? Are you pressing the button the moment it's available or will you announce it to everyone so they can be there to witness it before it happens?
I imagine you might have a gentleman's agreement with Heasleys to just let each other know if you've reached it and have some time to prepare for the actual activation.
It would be cool if the summoner got at least a small boon for themselves. Something like, base treat gain multiplied by 2. So when you get treats in addition to any other multipliers you get it's always double.
Assuming normal NPC rules, someone random will get drops from the fight, it would also be nice if the summoner was guaranteed to be among the ones getting that loot.
One of these would be a big incentive for people to maybe summon him in the future, if it doesn't become a yearly event automatically.
