Organized Crimes and Recommended NNB · · 1,024 likes

Ever wondered how to distribute your members between Organized Crimes? Look no further, here I'll not only provide a guideline you can simply follow, but also the reasoning behind it, so you can try and dare, if you so desire:

  • [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Blackmail - anybody;[/background]
  • [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Kidnapping - 20+ NNB (20-15 should work too);[/background]
  • [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Bomb threat - 25-30 (I have had better success with no more than one 25 in a team);[/background]
  • Planned Robbery - 30-40 (35-35-35-30-30 is a perfectly viable team, for example);
  • Money Train - 40-50 (45-45-40-40-40-40 is a solid team. Maybe go with 3x 45's to be extra cautious);
  • Cruise Liner - 40-55 (average member should be ~50, so balance 40-45's with 55's);
  • Plane Hijacking - a mix of 60's and 55's. The more/stronger 60's the better, but the failures will be happening regardless. We had a decent success with 2 60's and 6 55's, I've heard of even weaker teams with over 50% success rate. ("We are now 2/3 with the plane hijacking of 2 55 nnb and the rest 50" AlexeaNikkole)
  • [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Political Assassination - 4x strong 60's, or 3 even stronger 60's and one solid 55, or... yes, thanks to Rosie, we know that an ultrastrong lead can carry THREE greenleaves in a PA (mind that there are only so many players capable of this. Most probably, only the strongest pre-nerf busters). To start you team, aim for 120k+ (100k, if you're feeling risky) combined arsons. Closest alternative, PH, gives 150 arsons CE boost on success, while PA - 650. So you only need for your team to succeed 25%+ of the time, to be more viable than PH[/background]
Important note: nothing affects OC success chance except for raw CE and a Law Firm bonus. Law Firm bonus is applied to each player individually. If you have equivalent of 20k arsons worth of CE and are in a 7* Law Firm, you will be treated in OC as if you had 24k.

In the same vein: the players in your faction not assigned to any OCs (and/or within the same OC) are listed from highest to lowest raw CE, so you can plan better, knowing which one of your 40's is "strong", and which is "weak".

And another note: as an OC manager, at some point the hardest part of your job will be to decide who deserves the boost from higher OC the most? Should you always put the strongest guys in the highest OC possible, or maybe this active noob who's spamming arsons like a madman deserves a spot in Cruise Liner more than a higher NNB, but barely active guy? Up to you to decide.

NERDY STUFF ALERT!!! Don't need to read further unless you really want to. The guideline above works perfectly fine on its own.

Now, are these teams gonna be successful 100% of the time? Absolutely not, and for two reasons:
a) Every OC has a success cap, just like individual crimes, and thanks to Josephine we know that a 60NNB can fail a Blackmailing;
b) They don't need to be!

  • Failing an organized crime doesn't result in CE loss, which we know thanks to CloudJumper's extensive testing (I accidentally confirmed it myself: hit 60 in the morning, went to jail for PH fail in the evening. Remained 60, naturally); (Further confirmed by Clitasaurus)
  • Every next OC offers significantly higher monetary reward per player-hour than the previous one. See the table at the bottom for reference;
  • Higher OCs provide more CE per player-hour as well. Now we only have figures from Nash's testing: 650 arsons equivalent for a PA, 150 - PH, ~72 - CL. I've checked Money Trains extensively, and the figure is pitiful - around 10-15 arsons (shout out to all the 60NNB speedrunners, who keep track of all their crimes). Extrapolating from here, I'd say PR offers about 3-7, and the rest isn't worth mentioning, at all.

These three points lead to the main conclusion: PUSH YOUR LIMITS. Don't be afraid of experimenting and trying, see how to squeeze the most cash for your coffers, while giving your members the best boost they can get.

Table 2, the breaking point of success %. For example, if your cruise liner is successful LESS than 50% of the time, it's better to move your members to Money Train teams (assuming that MT will never fail. Not the case, but this guide has become convoluted enough already :)

Kick a member from Elimination team · · 66 likes

Title says it, basically. A couple of trolls can ruin the team chat, or worse (Revengers last year).

Say, 50 (or 1% of total members) votes needed to get rid of that one particularly annoying individual, no more than one kick every 12 hours (to prevent abuse of the feature).
Alternatively, give every player a voting cooldown of 24h.

Must have been suggested before, but I couldn't find it.

I got it very late. Was 4bil balanced by that time, so just got to 99k happy and kept training normally, plus some 25e cans. Believe I gained 200-210mil that month.

@Andyman - mostly cheap stuff, crocs and damps

Dont worry, I got it when I was ~4bil, lol. The one and only training book I've ever had.

@Smilin-Assassin - nothing out of ordinary, really. Absolute majority of my training is daily xanax+refill. Could've done it faster, but for the past year my xanax routine wasn't all there.

D3vl: Having a friend in me?"

Hahaha, what an imbecile.

I would buy a company and employ that guy, just so there's no risk of being d3vl's friend.

"Obviously he'll get better R from the #50 than from the #90" - that's... that's how you win.

It's not about preventing retals, it's about getting respect faster than your opponent.

The idea of this suggestion is really straightforward: there are fewer territories than factions willing to take them. No matter where you are on the map, there is another faction that would happily take your place.

The question is how this limited resource is distributed. Right now, you pretty much have to suck up to a big faction.

In my opinion, this system sucks, and I want an actual competition.

PS Dear Matty, 25e from a reviver is worth 1mil or 1 xanax. Pay up or shut up.

Tie Territories/Sectors with Ranked Warring · · 5 likes

Oh man, if only there was any way in this game to turn money into growth...

What I'm saying is, you are slave driving your reviving faction. What do they get with you, 1000 respect a day? 500? Less?

1000 respect~=10mil in faction price. At best they'll get ~3.5bil worth of growth from you in a year (and it's probably far, far less). A reviving faction can get as much in a single contract. Especially now, with new and shiny type of warfare.

Are you gonna ask for oceans of energy from your reviving faction every time you war for rank now? For the same few hundred daily respect?

No shit you are protecting this lucrative deal under the guise of "caring for the weak".

Think it through...

Tie Territories/Sectors with Ranked Warring ·

Just pay your revivers, lmao.

1mil/1 xanax per attempt, last I checked.

Tie Territories/Sectors with Ranked Warring · · 4 likes

It's not about punishment, it's about not having the reward you didn't earn.

In current system, weaker factions hold territories that by all accounts should belong to stronger ones.

A HoF faction riddling the map with two reviving, 3 sub and 15 proxy factions is not good for the game. And it forces every faction to seek protection from some hof or another.

I reread your comment like 5 times. At first, at kinda made sense, but then...

An (hopefully) unnecessary disclaimer: Having more stats in a war is better than having less stats. Now:

This is not how warring works (not how math works, either, but that's besides the point). You should strive to fight within your stats range. Ideally, you should be punching up.

This war, a quarter of my attacks went on a single guy, stronger than me. Eighty percent - on the same 4-5 names.

If a #60 strongest guy is targeting a #90, in your carbon copy scenario, then congrats, your opponent is a moron. Not only he earned subpar respect, but he made a retal target of himself, for that. A retal that a #61 will claim. Because you, unlike your opponent, are not a moron ;)

Edit: grammar hard

Had our own ranked war tonight.

Two main issues: starting time was pretty weird. Right when the activity of both faction starts going down, historically. Would rather it had started 6 hours earlier, so the peak activity happened in the middle of the war, and not right at the start.

And second: if the fight is one-sided, the losing faction can really turn it into a drag, by just hiding in hospital. I don't have a solution for it, but somebody mentioned surrender, so maybe add that as an option. Thing was over pretty quickly in our case, thankfully, but the potential for boredom is there.

And to OP: "almost by definition ranked warring will be bad for the bottom 20% of a faction" <-- this is just not correct. By definition, you are gonna be paired against factions of similar strength.

If your bottom 20% can't get out of hosp without being killed instantly, and your top 20% cant retaliate for them - it means you are losing the war, and you don't deserve to move up a rank.

Step 1: whore stats with SEs to get into top-100

Some good pointers (and some bad ones, unfortunately), but the main message of the guide is useless for 99% of torn.

Expected stats for age ·

And yet you are 2.7b total at 3.5 yo.

On topic: If you are gaining 1bil a year, you are safely above average even among the active torn players. Very, very few gain 1.5b+ a year, and it takes a lot of time and money invested. Also consider ~1.5y as a more average time to cap all stats. One year is quite competitive.
