Greetings fellow citizens! I hope your 2020 has started off well so far.
NFL.com does a fantasy football challenge every year for the NFL playoffs. You pick your lineup, and each week that you keep the same player, they earn a point multiplier. So, for example, if you choose Lamar Jackson as your QB, he would earn you no points in the wildcard week since the Ravens have a bye, but he'd earn you 2x points in the divisional round, 3x points in the conference championship game, and 4x points in the Superbowl (assuming the Ravens make it that far). You can reset your lineup each week to replace players who get knocked out, etc.
I thought it might be fun to do a friendly competition with you guys, and maybe make it interesting with a $5m buy-in. Nothing too crazy, especially after Christmas Town, but enough to keep people involved.
Now the only potential issue is that I would need you to trust me with your entry fee. I have set up a private group on NFL.com for us to compete in, but I would need to receive your entry fee before I'd give the password to the group to ensure that everyone pays their dues. Your money would sit in the Caymans until the end of the Superbowl when winnings would be distributed. I'm a very active, but low-level player, so it would not be hard to make my life miserable if I pocketed the cash, if you're worried about that. Honestly, I'm generally a peaceful player, so I'm more interested in making friends than enemies.
