As this was my first time participating in the big tourney I wasn't clear on the setup of the tourney until the invite arrived. It seems to me that by making all the tracks the same amount of laps then good RNG on tracks like Docks and Parkland are going to mean much more than having a good outing on Speedway or Mudpit.
Now, for instance Formula 1 has 24 races per year and every race has a different amount of laps so they equal 190 miles or 305 Kilometers per race. If you guys were to say make the Docks race 15 laps and Speedway around 90 laps and then calculate the rest of the tracks to that equation I feel like each track would be "weighted" more equally and every race would matter equally for the championship. But maybe the people that created this tourney have a reason that it is lopsided and if so then it is what it is.
Don't really care much personally, but just throwing it out there in case nobody had thought of it before and the powers that be want to "potentially" improve the system to be more in line with the pinnacle racing series on planet earth. Fun tourney at any rate and congrats to MIA on pulling out the win with that great performance at Docks as well as being consistent on most of the tracks. Thanks to SugarValves and Storm1968 and everybody else that helped make it work.

We'll be lucky to get Rogue's thoroughly thought through ideas implemented imo. If a dozen more ideas get thrown in on top of Rogue's four it may be like too many cooks in the kitchen or the developers just simply disregard the entire concept. But then again, you never know when someone is going to have an incredible idea I suppose. Carry on and good luck salvaging this deteriorating hobby that they made too easy in 2025 for some bogus crimes 2.0 reasoning apparently. They may say it is impossible to program it above RS 100 as well for various reasons but I said all along they should have never capped it and Data would probably be pushing 125 RS at this point.
Thanks for creating this thread Devo! Some great points and I believe Rogue has some solid ideas on helping relieve the pressure of this developing situation. It has been way too easy to gain RS for the last year. On Rogue's 2nd point in his solution I would say you can make the case to prorate it by 4.0 or even 5.0 as Kyle and I were gaining 8+ RS per year working in the TV station and grinding 22 hours per day under the original system. iirc we would hit 6 or 7 of the .5 RS bonus's per year so that would be about 4.5 actual earned RS I think. Side note: I was gaining 13-14 RS per year grinding under old system at Mechanic shop (early on between RS20-45 or 50ish). Then got lazy and wanted the other Tv benefits as well.
As far as the overall HOF front page list I can see Data, Toxic and Rogue's point of view that they should be at the top immortalized forever. Indeed when I made my last name change at 99.4 RS I added on the _9 at the end to recognize I made it to the top of the summit 9th fastest overall. But, there may be more to Torn's merit based system of ranking as I have discussed with Nath multiple times and Storm68 and others as well as Devo last night. Some of us think there may be a method to their randomness and it could be a simple formula of Racing Wins combined with miles logged on the track and winning % and perhaps something else.
The reason I/we speculate this theory is that some of us did 4 or 5 years or more of 1v1 racing at high speed tracks exclusively under the old system while many others that made it to 100 did it mostly with official races most likely over a 10-15+ year campaign. That involves a lot of sitting on the grid for 55+ mins and waiting while some of us were waiting less than 5 mins and grinding 20-22 hours per day on high speed tracks (racking up the miles) with 1 Docks while sleeping. I am not saying either approach is better, but it may have something to do with how they calculate the HOF list on the RS area. It seems like once we get our slot on the list that no one has gained on anybody after that. People just fall down once the system decides to rank another 100.0 higher. A mystery of our times...
Thanks for the banner! Pretty cool, although I have no idea how to attach it to my profile or forum signatures. I did manage to upload it to my gallery at least. Something to work on I guess while flying to South Africa twice a day working on those hunting merits.

The UFC fight of Pyfer vs Adesanya was tallied incorrectly & not fixed as of yet. I bet on Pyfer the underdog & he won yet it says I lost the bet. Thanks for the attention to this matter!
disregard and delete...thanks
Stumpy, those are the winner and car he has listed next to the races. So far we've had 10 pretty average times out of the 12. In race 3 he was super fast and beat my pretty good time (3rd best overall). I believe I had the 2nd and 3rd fastest times but once again 2nd through 11th have been pretty tight. In race 1 I looked like a turtle and had poor RNG. I had just done real well in a loaded 100 Docks iirc so that kind of makes sense. We would have to do this dozens or hundreds of times to really get a good reading or if Rogue raced another 100 RS racer with a T2 at HH that would tell us even more. But so far so good for the T2 on a small sample size with a 18.8ish RS disadvantage.
T2 all day at Hammerhead! Ford/Volt T2SR at Industrial & Vector works very well also. I got 16 Class A cars + the Cos and some other crap built up in the lower classes as well for silly faction races that were paying out what I considered lots of $ 4 years ago or so. I tested T2 Nissan at Underdog and eventually changed it to T3 and it does much better with T3 and slays NSX's quite often when I race over there which isn't much. Always on Speedway or Docks after the nutty RS rule changes last month. Push Push! Ask any DM's you want, I used to talk all the time with the original tester and 1 of the guide author = "WhatTheFoxSaid" which isn't even his original name but it was his name when we were chatting for months after I dove head first into racing and quit flying altogether.
ETA: I'll bet anybody 20 million at Hammerhead vs their T3 on 100 lap races multiple times...DM anytime to take my $ if you think it doesn't matter.
ETA2: Rogue took me up on the challenge and we are doing at least 5 maybe more 100 lappers at 03:00TCT for 10M if anybody wants to bring their T3 to the party. I'm not looking to race all day at Hammerhead as I don't get much RS...so if you want a piece of my T2 come join us at 3TCT tomorrow. 1st race is live now.
"frustrating for people who spent 20 years of racing to get 40 RS"
Those people didn't race very hard if that's the case. I bought my Torn DL in April of 2019 and made it to 76.68 before the RS system change. Now i'm at 77.10 but am in a mechanic shop. It does seem like it is a bit too easy now to gain RS imo. Like the other guy said = if there wasn't a hardcap at 100 RS then it might not be an issue. They would have to pro rate all the current 100 RS drivers if they went that route and boost them up depending on how long ago they made it to 100. That wouldn't be entirely fair either, but seems like an option that would keep things progressing at least. Seems like this is the new deal though and I guess I'll just create 100 million $ bet races with 24 hour timers once I make it to RS 100 and feel like retiring as there is no more dragons to slay and i'll need to do something with all this silly Torn $.

Didn't read all the previous posts. I never spent any real $ on DP's or whatever else you guys buy that help out. I'm worth 22.5+ billion if you include the faction bank $ which is only at 130M at moment. Started Jan. 2018 iirc, the first year and a 4 months all i did was fly around on the stupid plane and buy/resell stuff at the market. It was a slow start i suppose but it suited my playing style at the time. I like timer based games I guess.
Then I read Baldr's racing guide in April of 2019 and bought my Drivers License. Everything changed for Travis McGee (SmudgeSr at the time) after that. I had all the flying merits and i was ready to race and build some cars. So, to keep making some money I changed tactics and started mugging Logistic Employees everyday right after we all get paid. I would use my energy refill and pop a xanax sometimes after natural E was gone. This turned out to more lucrative than I expected and started making around 35M per week or 140M per month. All the while racing and grinding at the mechanic shop job. I am now at 66.10 racing skill, #38 overall in Torn and #29 in race wins in just 5Y4M's.
If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't have started with the Sierra Cosworth...but still got through and built a T3SR Honda tarmac and next thing you know I had 22 fully built cars from all the classes. I should of just built 5 or 6 and my RS would be well over 70 for sure...but i got a nice garage :)
But anyways, it is funner if you don't pay to become a billionaire I would think. I've made lots of stock investments at this point and tell my boss not to bother paying me as I know it is better job security at a high level TV station and that's all i care about is RS in Torn at this point.
Note: Grinding at Mechanic shop I was earning 13-14RS per year where at the TV station I usually get around 8-9RS probably even with the press pass being used as much as possible. But I had to keep up with it constantly...which i do anyways as far as entering lots of high speed track 100 lappers. Other press pass bonuses can be good as well.
Double Note: I quit mugging Log Emp about 3 years ago...but it probably still works. Just make sure to use a stealthy weapon like Macana or expect some retaliation. I made a few enemies anyways despite the Macana.
I never wanted to deal with 2 factor ID for this game in the first place. This isn't [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]a financial institution. Perhaps staff is making this too difficult for the casual gamer. Thanks for advice. Maybe if I just don't logout, there will be no problems. [/background]
