The title and the GIF say it all, really. In terms of what I did to cause it, I don't know. I'm running Chrome with nothing special, certainly nothing that should be causing anything like that. Whenever I clicked anything, nothing happened. That includes attacks, escape or even the forum or settings link. I was stuck in the attack until it timed out. It's only happened the once.

I'd almost agree with you but for two things

The first is that we had a deal where you provide preferential revives with a discount and we provide protection

If you provide revives to our enemy in our biggest war in years and exclude us, what's the point of the deal? There's no point having a discount on a service you aren't providing and if you aren't providing your service, then why should we provide ours to protect you?

But hey, contracts right? First come first serve. I get it. But we've had a relationship going back years, we notified you a war was coming LAST YEAR, our leaders have been keeping yours updated throughout. It was clearly the intent by us to contract you. Why would we not? Biggest war in years and you're our go-to-guys. Your leaders knew that, our leaders didn't expect there to be any problem.

Then, less than a month before the big fight is due to start, when we try to formally put the contract into place, your leadership inform ours that you've already accepted a contract with our enemies, leaving us to find new revivers with no favourable deal at the last minute.

The fact is, your leaders could have told us whenever Monarch contracted you. It would have been the polite thing to do, given we sounded you out months back, we've had a relationship going back years and we had an ongoing deal where we provided you land and protection in return for preferential revival contracts and a small cut of racket income.

Not only did your leaders accept a contract with our enemy, not only did they only inform us at the last minute, after being informed months earlier we intended to contract them, but they also haven't said when exactly this deal with Monarch was made, which feels pretty shady - kinda like the intent was to leave things late to put NS at a disadvantage.

So now what? We can't trust you. We can't rely on you. There's no point having a deal for a service you're going to go sell to our enemy instead and this first come first serve position means that anytime we're the defender, our aggressor will always cut a deal with you first, to weaken our position. What's worse is you don't even inform us straight up your intentions lie elsewhere. Our relationship with Nuke is now a liability to us, not an asset.

So that relationship is done, you're getting evicted and we'll replace you (the royal you) with partners that are more dependable

I've not seen it happen today and I have been attacking. It also seemed to happen after a period of lag previously, though obviously that isn't conclusive of anything and just a vague observation.

I'm sure if it does happen to anybody else they'll soon mention it.

https://gyazo.com/b696f00ed078eecd86e67471dbf70e49 as a second example, it happened again. I'm going to guess it's part of the general performance issues people are currently seeing, but I'll certainly keep an eye out for if it does happen again.

He does it after waking up on a pile of money, of course.

Nerdz got nerfed! ·

You did incredibly well. Hopefully you'll do even better next time! Hopefully we'll be on the same team too.

Elimination, the flaws, and the handling. · · 4 likes

I may not know anything from the committee side of things, but I certainly agree with you on how it was handled. Really, the comp has ruined it for everyone.

I didn't go into this thinking it'd be so one sided, nor, I think did anyone else. I actually expected to go out in the first round same as last year with pirates. People seemed to be really focused on us, and for good reason. In the end though, we survived and other teams were eliminated and even as Ched put, perhaps they should have focused more on us? 200 players, while a lot is still 2% of the entire competition and easily overwhelmed, particularly when placed in the spotlight.

After the last few teams were eliminated, it seemed we were unstoppable, until this. Now it seems impossible for us to win. Those who swapped gender are paralysed - we can't do anything unless we travel out and that carries it's own risks and limitations. What's worse is that those 800 other members who didn't change gender and didn't exploit the mechanic (which Ched at first seemed to indicate he was fine with) are now getting dragged down by virtue of us being hospitalised over and over whenever we try to do anything. I can understand why Ched felt the need to do something after the other teams failed to stand up to us. One could say it's on them, or that Ched should never even have allowed us to compete, or that we had it coming but in the end we got where we are from fighting hard and now we don't even have the option to fight hard anymore.

If Ched really had to do something, then he could have applied penalties, or slowed down Duke or at least allowed us to keep him in hospital without him immediately getting out at full health and continuing the onslaught. Then at least we'd be at a disadvantage, but we could fight back. It'd balance out the advantage we have, instead of just destroying the competition for us.

I'd also like to add that it's not exactly been fair on the teams already eliminated either. Yes, we had an unfair advantage - a bigger one than we anticipated certainly. But they got eliminated, perhaps because of us and in the case of Short Bus likely because of Duke putting Pacifists out of reach and dooming them. Now the seven remaining teams will be competing as though it was just them at the start, with OG having a significant score disadvantage. For the 4000-5000 other players? What's the point? the competition was never fair to begin with.

This could have been handled so much better, right from the start.

Clarify that mission rewards are permanent · · 2 likes

Well, I certainly have my own complaints about missions but a mildly ambiguous timer is somewhat ignoring the numerous elephants in the room.

The thing to remember here is that missions came out less than a year ago, and nobody had knowledge back then as there was nothing like it before. Eight months ago and everyone saw it, realised exactly what it meant or just asked the question and moved on. I can understand there might be a little bit of concern about an ambiguous timer but you clearly seemed to manage to work out it may or may not mean the item itself will expire in that amount of time and evidently must have asked that question, therefore you do seem to have managed.

In addition, considering this is the first time it has been brought up, and those many thousands of people who started doing missions months ago got along just fine it really must not be that confusing. It seems pretty much everyone commenting on this thread as well had no issues and see it largely as a waste of time or another new player complaining because the game isn't exactly how they want it. That's life unfortunately, yes this would be an easy enough change but there are more important changes to focus on than clarifying what is evidently a very obvious or very easily researched timer.

On top of that, I'd say the closest we have to the mission rewards is the auction house, not books and I don't think anyone has ever managed to get that confused with some kind of arbitrary ticking down expiry date.

Level Reducing Item. · · 1 like

It's an interesting idea that could be fun. What could also work is an item that masks or changes your level for 24 hours or possibly longer. It'd mask your level as between 1-100 for that time period before going back to what it should be.

Would the item affect life at all? level 1's with 7500 health could be interesting but it's an instant giveaway.

Any nice decent people on this ? ·
