Easter Bunny can drop gold eggs too, so thats a possibility. I havent seen anyone else around with 2 gold eggs at this time.

Shows you looted 2, so following the theory, I assume the ones you looted were a red and yellow? Everything else still fits within 2 sets.

The wording on the article, to me, sounds more like "its guaranteed over time" vs "it's just rng". Seeing as the game value of some of these new eggs, it seems rather likely.

It was just based on that wording that OP of the color theory made a hypothesis that its not (just) RNG and started doing some investigating. Finding it interesting, I took it upon myself to get the raw data.

This raw data not only pointed in the direction that it is not rng, but also showed exact same results from every single player I got into contact with. Meaning every single player that had 23 eggs, that got back to me, had 1 gold egg. And obviously not just that, but completely matching. Rng will always have much higher fluctuations imo if we for example look at the 50/50 on level 7/8 OCs. Totally fine if you find the data provided coincidental, we dont have to agree. 

Its also not certain that every set will be the same. Its entirely possible that next set is (for example) only 22 big and wont have a gold. 

Hi! Im someone that was involved in doing investigating on the colour theory.

Here were how I worked and what the findings were: I messaged a bunch of players who had the maximum eggs at the end of year 2. (23 eggs). The reason for this is that if you missed one, then this egg will be respawned in year 3, but it doesnt mean its the first one you will find. So for proper data collecting I first messaged a bunch of players who all collected the full 23 eggs on set 1. (Which was the premise) All of these players had the exact same drops. I disclosed this myself that while there is a chance its not Torn wide , I personally found it to be too much of a coincidence to not have anyone having any different results. Even those that were missing eggs of the sets such as myself, still fit in the same pattern.

Essentially it was 23 eggs in set 1 that spannend over 2 years. However that doesnt mean that the next sets will follow the same pattern. I did not do further investigating last year because if the pattern continues, I can only completely check with max amount of eggs at the end of this year with those that have managed to collect every single one.

A similar amount of eggs will spawn for all players, rendering the competition element pointless. Your activity levels will not change how many eggs spawn on your account; you simply need to log in during the event in order to receive eggs.The competition is also tuned to ensure players get the same eggs over a timeline of several years. So if you don't get a Gold Egg this year, you'll definitely get one at some point in future years and in the same quantities as everyone else. Eggselsior!

It's still possible that not all sets are the same, perhaps set 2 has an extra blue for you and no golds 😂

No that's not what the thread has concluded. You CAN find eggs from set 2 before finding them all from set 1. Just because you havent found them doesn't mean they havent spawned :).

Im still missing my purple from my first set. Found 22/23 eggs last year. I now have 30 eggs, so I found 8 eggs from set 2 but havent found where my purple has spawned yet. I still have a couple abroad pages to check at least and then make the round with the navigator I guess.

So OPs hypothesis was that every set contains 23 eggs with a ratio of 5 green, 5 red, 5 yellow, 3 white, 1 gold, 1 blue, 1 brown, 1 black, 1 purple. OP also expected some overlap to happen between sets. I found too many similarities so I messaged those of the 2024 leaderboard as it would provide data for OPs hypothesis. 

Why dont I message players who have found say 22 eggs (missing the gold in your example) and 1 this year? Because they could have found a new egg from set 2 this year and still not have found the missing egg from set 1. So yes in my opinion, these players are the only ones with a complete correct set of data.

Now my last post mentions 8 players with the exact same eggs. Ive since had another 4 players message me with the exact same results again. That's 12 players that messaged me, besides the ones that have posted in here and those that OP knows. Are you saying it's coincidental? By end of next years event we can check those that have managed to catch the most eggs and compare them again to see if everyone will then have 2 sets of the previously mentioned 23 eggs. Though I also think it's possible that not all sets will be the same.

And as OP stated, it was already stated that everyone will 'over time' get the same drops. Hence to why OP was trying to determine if this set of 23 was correct and all evidence points that way. If Im still around by next years Easter event I'll def be willing to gather data again :)

So I took it upon myself to collect data. I have messaged players from the easter event leaderboard 2024, those that collected the maximum of 23 eggs from the first two years as they are the only ones with a complete set of data. I have asked them to send me their logs for the colour ratio. 8 players so far have sent me their results and Im expecting some more over the following days.

Preliminary results are the following:

All 8 players had the same results.

5 Yellow, 5 green, 5 red, 3 white, 1 brown, 1 blue, 1 black, 1 purple and 1 gold egg!

My preliminary conclusion is that every player in torn will spawn the same 23 eggs spread out over 2 years event, albeit in a different order due to RNG. Someone could get a gold egg as their first egg of 23, another player could get it as the last egg of 23. But the sets dont overlap. It only looks that way for those that didn't get the full 23 last year and have yet to find those that have rolled over to this year but found some newly spawned ones already.

I will update again at some point when I get even more data, but currently it looks to be confirmed, it would be a hell of a coincidence to have these 8 players all reporting the exact same results.

Hey thanks for posting! Looks like you are missing a brown egg from set 1 which is entirely possible it has rolled over from last year and spawned on a page you have yet to visit. And the egg you have found this year could be a new egg from set 2. 

I guess that's partly what we are trying to figure out. Mine were all exactly the same except for the purple missing. It's completely possible it already spawned last year, since I only found 22/23 and I have still yet to find it. However it's possible it has or will spawn on a page I have yet to check (abroad pages), so in that case it will be impossible for me to know if it was a roll over from last year or a new roll from this year. But I'll def update as it's intriguing.

As for you yourself, since you havent found all your eggs from year1/2, the colours you are "missing" could have already spawned and you havent found them yet and besides this you could also find all the new spawns fron year 3, which you could find first still. 

It would be interesting to see more peoples data, especially those that managed to collect the max amount of 23 last year.

Have you thought about messaging the players on the 2024 leaderboard? Those that collected the max of 23 eggs from the first two events. You could ask them what their distribution was to possibly confirm your hypothesis?

First 2 years I got 22 eggs and these where my results:

• Red-5, Green-5, Yellow-5, White-3, Blue-1, Brown-1, Black-1, purple-0, gold-1.

If it's indeed meant to be 23 for full set Im just missing my purple from the first complete set. The rest is exactly the same as yours.

This year found a white and green so far. Green was def new as it was on a page it wasnt on first day I checked. White could have been from last year roll over as it was on a page I hadnt checked the first day of easter event.
