That still does not make sense, you have to pay it back and all the "profit" you made in the investment is gone and then some.  You are better off paying the upkeep as it comes then investing it.

If you would like to prove people wrong, you should try it out and document your findings; if it works, we will acknowledge your superior way of handling upkeep.
