Hi. I looked on the forums but couldn't see this anywhere so I thought I should report it as a problem.
I use pepper spray as my regular temporary weapon and normally carry about ten of them in my inventory. However, when I accepted the mission from Duke to make someone cry using pepper spray or teargas, my temporary weapon slot was empty when I attacked the target.
Not a big problem, as I escaped, bought more pepper spray in the items market and was able to complete the mission, but I thought I should report it because I don't think I should have been penalised because my normal modus operandi was in tune with the mission objectives.
I thought I bought 8 sprays to top it up to 10, that's the number I usually like to carry.
But maybe I used up all 10 sprays on that day; I wasn't paying that much attention. It just seemed strange that I didn't have any at the time I needed it.
Anyway, if no one else has reported the issue, what you suggest is probably the case.
I have pepper spray set as my temporary weapon and had purchased another supply recently. Then I received the mission from Duke and thought it would be a cinch because my normal attack is to pepper spray my opponent as my first move. However, when I attacked my target, my temporary item slot was empty and I had no supply of pepper spray listed in my items.
Conceivably, I could have been attacked multiple times and used the spray in defence, but I received no reports about being attacked, so I have to assume it was something that happened when I accepted the mission.
I don't need to have anything fixed as the mission is done now, I just thought I should report what happened.
