Not sure if it's been suggested, but on the Market Watch tab, once you select all the items you want to watch and collapse the options, could it display in that line (respective to the category) an above/below market average for the items you have selected? I usually collect plushies until I have a few $mil worth and this would be a useful quick glance stat.
