I totally understand what you mean and kinda feel the same way myself. Was definitely expecting main characters to die and they should have at many occasions. But i still think i would like it better if these characters died at the hands of someone other than some white walker. Their death will be sadder and more emotional if they were killed by other humans with motive. I m not sure if arya just sneaking up on all the white walkers and killing the NK makes sense but i definitely enjoyed it. It wasn't a typical GOT episode, the hero (jon snow) didn't save the day, no one died when they should have and that s more surprising. Bran didn't do shit even though him and the NK meeting should have been the most important scene in the whole show but i hope there s more to it so i wont address that issue till i see the next episodes.
