If playing TORN compels you to start habitually using three xanax per day then I’d say you have bigger problems than being under eighteen years old on a text-based browser game :P
On a more serious note, seeing as to how this is the internet and all, I doubt that TORN players who are under the age of eighteen and are continuing to play is a huge problem to begin with. In the grand scheme of things, if people wanted more mature themes with alcohol, drugs, violence, and crime then they wouldn’t have to go far to get it.
Sure, TORN is based on that sort of thing, but it’s no worse than games that could be played on a console and ones that are actually graphic in viewing nature. So, to answer your question: Yes, they should be able to play.
At some point within the next seven days, someone will become 2.3 billion dollars richer. Could it be you? I’m not sure. But what I am sure of is that the time till a winner is chosen approaches…
I appreciate those who have asked me if I’m okay inquiring about my RL situation or if I’m quitting the game. In light of these inquiries, I’ll have you all know that I’m absolutely fine and am simply giving away this amount of money because I feel like it and because I am able to.

How come there aren’t any player-written guides on starting a faction and building it up from zero respect? I know that starting from scratch isn’t something that most people typically do, but I do think it would be nice if those who are in the larger factions were able to tell us the stories of how their factions got to be as feared and as respected as they are today.
Does anyone else wish we had this?
(EDIT: No, I personally don’t have aspirations to start my own faction. This is mostly coming from a curiosity standpoint.)
Does anyone know this guy? He continuously bounties me for no reason at all, is significantly over-leveled compared to me, and whenever I try to message him to stop I get a message saying “Player is banned. Unable to send message.”
What does that even mean? That he’s banned from receiving messages or that I’m banned from sending him messages? Either way, I’m tired of him putting bounties on me.
Defense versus dexterity is an age old debate. I’m not here to rehash the talking points of each side, nor am I interested in going over the theoretics of it all. More than anything, I’m interested in the experiences of others. Everyone has a favourite stat or one that they think is the most advantageous. So today, I ask: Dexterity whores, tell me… What has your experience been like?
What aspects of battle are challenging to you? How do you go about minimizing your weaknesses as best you can? Do people ever get frustrated when they can’t hit you? Are you glad that you became/proud to be a dexterity whore?
I’m a former Director of a 7*/8* company and I’ve recently returned to the game. Right now, I have no interest in taking on a new company, whether brand new or already-existing. So this is mostly for my own curiously, but, in theory, which company type carries the most potential to be profitable?
Since when are we able to just post on the forums asking for money and get whatever we want? That’s not how this works.
The WLT block is expensive, billions of dollars expensive. Even “rich” players don’t have them as a standard, so expecting people to collectively donate billions of dollars to you for “a couple of plushies” in return is unrealistic.
My unsolicited advice? Work on your passive income and start investing heavily in the bank. You won’t get rich quick, but you will get richer over time. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
