I step into the arena, wearing my trusty combat armor, and notice what looks like someone lurking in the shadows. Acting on instinct, I grab my ninja stars and throw them in that general direction. It's kind of hard to see them, so I'm not sure if it hit, but--
As soon as I finish throwing the ninja stars into the shadows, someone ambushes me from behind, hitting me twice. Hastily grabbing for my diamond-bladed knife, I whirl around and aim two stabs at my attacker in retaliation.
Finally decided to pop back in here and read the last day/post-game for myself. I'm a little disappointed, but I had fun for the day I was alive, at least. It made me remember why I enjoy these types of games, and you guys are pretty cool to play with. :)
Interesting to note that two of the three people on the early Hopslam wagon were indeed scum (Jenna and Jonny). Maybe we should've stuck with that line of thought a bit longer. (And yes, I really do mean "we", as in I blame myself as much as anyone else-- no hard feelings, though.)
It's a shame we had so many inactive players/players not talking much. I agree that it was probably due to the high prevalence of Vanilla roles. I guess the way I saw it was, I could talk freely during the day and not have to worry if I was attracting too much attention to myself, but I get why some people feel differently.
I'll probably join another mafia game on here in the future, don't know if it'll be the next one though. Hope to see you guys around!
I'm with Cathead, not really a fan of scary movies. But I do love scary stories in literature form. Of course, Poe's written a bunch of good creepy ones; I liked "The Tell-Tale Heart" and the story with the cat.
I also liked Shelley's Frankenstein, but I thought it was more sad than scary. I really wish things had gone better for the monster. :(
Isabelle Santiago releases an ear-rattling, explosive scream among the trees just outside the toolshed-- and then relaxes into the sudden silence, a small spark of pride igniting in her chest. That one was better than the last, not only louder but also rippling with terror. Her throat may be scraped raw by this point, her own ears ringing, but she is making progress, dammit, and she will not be deterred.
It's her only line in the script, after all. She needs to make it count.
Oh, I see. Yeah, that would make a lot more sense-- I thought you meant 4 people in each court initially, but thinking about it, that would mean only 1 or 2 people in the game could be recruited. Sorry for the confusion.
I think you make a good point about people voting to crown each other this early on seeming a little suspicious. Which gives me a good excuse to sneak in an OMGUS vote. :P
You get your "answer or solution for all problems or difficulties" (thanks, Dictionary.com! yes, I picked the second definition). The answer is to destroy everything that is a source of the problem, and since you can use the butterfly effect to come up with an explanation for how every little thing contributes to every other thing, the natural solution is just to blow up the entire universe and be done with it. No existence, no problems!
I don't like that despite being silent, Bumfluff got 4 votes on him pretty quickly-- I don't think everyone who voted him is red, but it seems like it'd be fairly easy for 1 or 2 reds to slip in their votes there.
The four first people to vote him were Dong, Mary, Issac, and CreatorX. Of those four, I think I'm the most suspicious of Isacc and Creator-- Isaccasi's been talking somewhat, and I kind of like that he went against the flow and voiced suspicion of Hellcat, but he hasn't really done anything apart from that. CreatorX has been quiet, which makes me a little uncertain (part of my problem with the Bumfluff wagon was that apparently Bumfluff was under suspicion just for a shortage of posts-- correct me if I'm wrong there), but the fact that he was clearly around enough to place a vote on Bumfluff has me leaning toward scum on him. I'd be down to lynch him today.
I don't really get nervous vibes from Mary's posts; I'm having a hard time believing she's red. She's done a couple of things that kinda ping me, like the one post where she said we should prioritize getting the mafia over the Void, but at the same time I kinda don't think she'd risk drawing attention to herself by saying that kind of thing if she were red.

I don't think Christ is silenced? From what I remember, sometimes he just disappears for a day or two and then comes back randomly.
Creator has been kind of quiet, I'll have to look over what he's been saying. The fact that there were no night kills is interesting-- we'll have to see if someone was slowed, stunned, etc. Maybe we should wait a day if that's the case to share info, though, to avoid people outing themselves unnecessarily.
