Butters [34298]Just an update - I've pretty much given up on my f**king pos dirt track NSX.
I've spent so many points (well into the hundreds) trying to work out a balance for my NSX on the longer hybrid tracks (stone park, two islands, parkland) with different combos of suspension, engine, gearbox and tires in an effort to figure out why I'm being outpaced so badly by some drivers (and often they're relative newbies) and all I've managed to do is go s**t on either the dirt or tarmac sections (if I specialise a bit more in the other surface) and hand back whatever ground I've made up almost straight away, or just produce bland s**t around the entire track when I try to balance the car for both surfaces.
Just to rub salt into the wound I was outpaced easily by a cosworth today on hammerhead on both the tarmac and (obviously) the dirt sections, which signalled the end of my experimentation with the NSX and the slow times it is pumping out - it's wasn't even getting within 10 seconds of my best times, never mind closing the significant gap on the best times on most of the hybrid tracks.
My NSX was doing ok but not great. Times were not very close to global records. I changed tyres and gearbox from dirt to neutral and now I am doing terribly.
