Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers (?)
At the start of January 2026 I began reading the book Finders Keepers. For the sake of science, or whoever cares to read, I have recounted what this book yielded for me alongside some of my own thoughts.

To prepare for reading this book, I put 10/10 merits into Awareness and lined it up with Awareness Awareness Week. Below are the city finds I deemed noteworthy over the last 31 days. The full list of city finds will be at the bottom of this post.
Noteworthy City Finds
- 1x Dumbbells
- 2x Feathery Hotel Coupon
- 1x Drug Pack
- 1x Erotic DVD
- 2x Can of X-MASS
- 1x Can of Taurine Elite
- 1x Can of Red Cow
- 2x Can of Santa Shooters
- 2x Can of Munster
- x2 Xanax
Author's Thoughts
After reading forum posts regarding this book extensively, I did not expect the last 31 days to bear much fruit. For this reason I hesitated to fully optimise my Awareness: I did not get a job at a Firework Stand, Candle Shop, or a Zoo - nor did I complete the relevant History education courses (although I had completed PSY2680). Despite this, I was surprised at what items I actually found.
Within the first two weeks, I had accumulated ≈$100,000,000 worth of items. Come Awareness Awareness Week, I was expecting a significant increase in city finds. Naturally, the amount of city finds during this week decreased significantly and were all practically worthless items (Chedded again). The Dumbbells came on around day 25 of this book, a couple of days after Awareness Awareness Week had ended.
Throughout the last month, I found a total of 316 items with a total value of ≈$553,498,287. In other words, that is ≈$17,854,783 per day, or ≈$1,751,577 per item. Based on what I had read, this is a pretty average outcome for this book and, without the SE, it probably would have left me somewhat underwhelmed. But with all things considered, it could have been much worse, plus, the passive income is always a bonus.
Overall, this book did surprise me. Since I had no expectations, it was pleasant to see the city items value increasing by the 10s of millions each day. Of course Awareness Awareness Week did not produce the goods, but all in all it was a pretty decent month; 7 out of 10.

congrats Walkman! : D
wow, congrats! :D
I did look into this. There's surprisingly few 7+ star Zoos in the Job Listings, plus I didn't find it worth trading my current job specials for a month - especially given the often underwhelming successes of this book.
This is your reminder that reading forum posts is totally optional!
