I think we need a way to get TT wars more active again. It used to be the case that independents/small factions could slide into the edges of the map, might need to defend it every couple of months but had their own little slice of land. With the rackets as they are now, this is pretty much impossible. TT wars were real fun, and before RWs were in-game was the go-to method for respect farming, even just doing RWs amongst friendly factions for the fun of it on the weekend.
With how much the game has grown recently, maybe the map needs a revisit. Make it worthwhile for smaller facs to try and grab land, maybe a map extension, a dynamic map system where things move over time, or events happen that make areas unownable for a time to try and make the map relevant again for most factions, instead of being essentially stagnant in its current form.
I know there isnt just a magic fix, and not sure theres anything i can think of that would be a solid step in the right direction, and that ultimately big alliances forming rackets is inevitable, but outside of those alliances for the vast majority the map is untouchable, and such a fun part of the game is unplayable. Im sure theres going to be many that disagree, especially those profiting from it as it is, but making it relevant again for those outside the big alliances might make things fun again
