I suggest that we have a Tattoo Parlor that will enable players to get their characters inked. The can only be inked by another player that have mastered the art of body art.
We can have two types of in game tattoos.
1.) "Everyman" tattoo. These tats and designs simply decorate your character.
2.) Faction tattoos. The tats are issued within a faction. The faction tattoos will and should enable modifiers on stats or crime stats and the like.
I imagine that this would be a widely accepted craft and useful one at that. It would also boost the in game economy.
If this gets accepted in game, I would appreciate getting credit for my idea.
