I'm fairly new to torn, and I was just having a discussion about this. Str, And spd seem to be the most important because you want to hit and hit hard, so you have to counter their Def, and Dext. Now the 3rd important one to me would be def so I can take the other players attack, and make the fight last. Why would it be a bad idea to skip dext, if other players will just invest into speed to counter. I could just dump all my points into speed and str, and instead of switch to train def, and Dext, I can dump then into defense and skip dext. Being able to hit my target, and hard, while being able to take my targets hits.
