You already know I'm bad at making memes, but I'm still putting out this one...

I wouldn't ask that. I don't care if it's bastard, but if it was, part of the fun would be in finding out that it is.
Warning for future games I host: If you asked if my game is bastard, I'll answer no.
If you think that I'm lying as a host, would you believe me when I tell you it's not anyway?
It's a bastard game! []
How many players in this game?
I'm interested in joining. Also...

Hey [Your Name],
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on this—it’s a topic that’s becoming increasingly relevant as AI tools become more widespread.
I couldn’t agree more with your perspective on the value of genuine, player-driven content. Torn journalism thrives on the creativity, humor, and personal insights that only players can bring. That authentic touch is what makes the Torn City Times or individual blogs worth reading, and it’s something AI simply can’t replicate.
You’re absolutely right about balance, though. AI can be a helpful tool for organizing ideas or overcoming writer’s block, but it should never replace the core of what the Journalist merit represents—creativity, individuality, and community connection. Writing 50 articles should be more than just ticking off a box; it should reflect a journey of growth and contribution to the game’s culture.
The idea of hosting writing challenges or sharing tips to encourage authentic storytelling is fantastic. It could help reframe the merit as a badge of accomplishment, not just a goal to grind. After all, what’s more rewarding than seeing your words resonate with the community?
Thanks again for starting this conversation—it’s such an important one to have. I’m excited to see how others weigh in and how we, as a community, can elevate the standard of journalism in Torn.
Looking forward to hearing more thoughts!

Everyone seems to be scared and confused.
This sums up the thread, but not for the reason they're thinking! []
I rushed getting it since I thought it would merely report the swapping of abilities without actually doing so, but behind the scenes would be different from the report, allowing the players to realize that a disguise had been made.
If the attacker goes offline for the rest of the time limit, it can be grounds for multiple account reporting.
I'm sorry, what? Why? The player just gets a loss of they go offline for the rest of the time limit, so I don't see how it can be grounds for multiple account reporting.
1) Which company or job (if any) are you currently in?
2) Which property do you currently live in?
3rd question narrows them down a lot, especially taking into account that they would be under 24hrs or less online once they reply to your questions.
3) How many days have you been in your faction?
2) How old (in Torn age) is your account?
That pretty much narrows anybody to the exact player.
I know it's called Disguise, but it is Swapping. Meaning that, if she decides to heal or train, the player that disguised is the one that will end up healing or training. The inactive player does what the disguising player chooses to do. Worth mentioning since you say that Magda's choice would be a Magda upgrade. In actuality, Magda's choice becomes disguised player's actions.
Edit: Are we allowed to do nothing?
I assumed we have to take an action, otherwise we're considered inactive.
If so, Magda should be the same.
I'm all for the damage against the inactive player — I even suggested a very seemingly complex version on that through DM before you suggested the idea — but I don't like the idea of passing the inactivity unto the player that disguised.
I think you lost me with your explanation. Could you give an example?
Player A is inactive and Player B does an action, disguising as Player A. What would happen in your suggestion?
[background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]I'll just point out that disguise doesn't work how most players assume that it works.[/background]
Could be used in combination with 3 too, so an inactive does not win a game by suddenly becoming active at the end. When "activity" is mostly sending a PM with an action to the GM, option 4 seems too forgiving.
I like to be able to make meaningful choices
I'm really saddened to see that “I post, you pay. I hate reading n doin stuff” is one of the top choices. At least with the other top choice, “Lottery style / RNG winning”, the fun is —I assume— in being the lucky one. Can someone enlighten me on why this a top choice (apart from being the first choice, maybe)? Or is the “fun” simply in the “you pay” part of the equation?
Is the important information that you're not working alone?

I didn't notice you'd named the forum game, so when I read...
she can always visit the clinic after this season of DASHT.
I assumed that it was the made up some name for some type of Jersey Shore reality tv show.
