Halloween is fast approaching, and Stompers is preparing for our 3rd annual 100K Chain. We plan to complete our chain in under the 6.5 days it took us last year. With at least $8B in prizes planned, interest in Stompers is high. Between now and then, we will only be accepting members in at least their 3rd Halloween and with Halloween Baskets having all recommended upgrades. The more members being able to exchange treats the greater our chance for success. Once this is complete, we will again open our roster to some newer, highly active players.

At the risk of calling myself out for a blunder of epic proportions, I am nonetheless calling myself out for a blunder of epic proportions in order to give props to one of the most honest people in Torn.
Earlier today, NProcuror — a 42-day-old player who has been in our faction only 12 days — asked for a few million of his faction balance. Instead of entering his name and then entering the amount, I inadvertently clicked on the autofill button BEFORE entering his name. This filled in the entire amount of cash in the Armory. I thought I had fixed it before clicking Give Money and confirming, but…
16:53:06 07/11/22 NProcuror was given $40,567,928,105 by Helmstetter.
Thankfully, he didn’t make me sweat too long before…
Is he THE most honest man in Torn? There’s no way to REALLY know that, of course. He’s proven he’s a contender for the title, though, and he’s proven that I am amongst the luckiest. I’m sharing this both because I feel like NProcuror’s honesty should be recognized publicly and because I don’t want anyone else to make the same mistake I did. Bankers, double-check those amounts before giving money, and members, remember that there is always a risk when you give someone else access to your money.
Thank you, NProcuror. I’m proud to have you as a Stomper.
Side note: The irony is not lost on me that the most honest man in Torn is not even a man *in Torn*, but he was honest about that, too. ;-P
Edit: [redacted] disliked your thread The Most Honest Man in Torn (On second thought, it really doesn't matter who disliked it.)
With the proliferation of ranked war cache farms out there, it got me thinking. On the one hand, kudos to those who have used cache farms to their advantage, as using legal game mechanics for maximum gain is practically an art form. But on the other hand, props to those who have dutifully fought in ranked wars with their home faction and faction mates, as it feels good to build something together and share in the accomplishments.
But this CAN’T be what was intended for ranked warring, can it? There are far greater visionaries in this game than me, but I envisioned ranked warring as a way to test our factions' combat prowess against our peers more so than as an easy way to enrich ourselves (although I admit, the rewards are generally pretty sweet, win or lose).
With the incentive to focus on making money and collecting special weapons and armor so great, how is it possible to discourage cache farms? How about by incentivizing loyalty?
We already know that there are increased rewards for underdogs and for breaking a losing streak. How about increased rewards for having loyal faction members? Or by making matchups and winning more difficult for cache farms?
I would propose doing this though the use of a loyalty score. Each member would have a loyalty score based on how recently they have changed factions, and each faction would have a loyalty score based on the average of their members’ scores. There are multiple possible ways to use the loyalty score. For example, if this were used purely as an incentive, rewards would be greater for factions with higher loyalty scores, win or lose. If used as a penalty, a member’s loyalty score could add a negative multiplier resulting in lower respect earned in attacks, or a faction’s loyalty score could result in more difficult matchups.
I’m not sure which if any of these would actually result in the desired outcome, but I do feel that rewarding loyalty in some way would result in more meaningful ranked war matchups. Thoughts?
TLDR: A loyalty score based on how recently a member has changed factions could reduce rewards for cache farms and/or make it more difficult for them to win, incentivizing ranked warring from one’s home faction.
It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the passing of our fellow Stomper, Twuckdwiver, whose real name was Al. He was 56 years old. Most of you have likely never heard of him, as he tended to play the game quietly. He’s been a loyal faction member since joining Little Stompers with a small group of real life friends a couple years ago. Whatever the faction was involved in, he always put forth the effort to ask how he could help. We will miss him.
Please keep his wife, daughter, family, and friends in your thoughts.
Edit: I had his age wrong. Fixed it. Also, I'm not sure if links to fundraisers are appropriate here, but if anyone would like to donate a little something to help his wife and daughter with his final expenses, message me, and I will forward a link. His family sends thanks for all the kind words and thoughts.
It is with a bit of sadness that I bring news that Little Stompers is no more.
Started by TheCheesinater on 07/06/13, Little Stompers came on my radar in 2019, when I was recruited as an 8-month-old noob (as opposed to the 5.5-year-old noob I am today). At the time, Little Stompers was led by Rekker and Zalathar as a member of the Animal Kingdom alliance. When AK fell, Little Stompers was a founding member of that alliance near the airport that most didn’t know the name of and many who did wished they hadn’t.
By late 2021, Smiffy and I were managing the day-to-day operations as our alliance teamed up with some old adversaries at Monarch to take on Subversive Alliance. On the heels of that successful campaign, Smiffy and I officially assumed the Leader roles in early 2022. We didn’t know it at the time, but that collaboration known as the FSA War was the birth of what would eventually become Westworld. As Westworld took on JFK and then all hell broke loose on the map, our old alliance dissolved, and we were all in with Westworld.
Now, Little Stompers has never been amongst the strongest factions stat-wise, but we’ve never been afraid of fighting above our weight class, and in World War Torn, we fought whomever, wherever, and whenever we were needed, along with making sure things ran smoothly behind the scenes. Our efforts resulted in some sweet territories on The Island.
Alas, all good things must come to an end, and today is the end for Little Stompers. You see, with 10.7M respect, we haven’t really been “little” in years. It’s time to shed the cuteness and call ourselves what we are in our hearts: Stompers.
As of today, we stomp forward with our new name, temporary graphics (better ones are on the way), and better perks (such as 85% RW payouts and 100% PA payouts). We have a new Discord as well, and all are welcome to join us there. We are as committed as ever to Westworld and to ensuring our members have fun and achieve all of their Torn goals.
==========
TLDR: Less little, more stomping. Little Stompers is now Stompers.
