This thread is going to be quite a simple one, dedicated to the appreciation of guitar playing. I've always loved guitar and I would love to hear some example of guitar playing you really enjoy. I don't care how simple or complex it is, there is no right or wrong answer, just as long as you like it! How would you like to get a guitar to sound if you could play anything?
Love it or hate it, there is no arguing with the statistics, hip hop is currently the most popular genre in America and many other countries too.
As somebody who is fascinated by music history and ever changing trends in music, I've created this thread to ask you all, what do you think are some of the factors which have contributed to the massive growth in popularity surrounding hip hop in recent years?
Personally I think accesibility is a major factor. It's easier for a kid these days to go download a beat and start rapping over it as appose to setting up a band, buying all the neccessary equipment and learning to play well together. I'll just leave this contributuion for now because I am interested in hearing what you all have to say.
This is a track from British artist King Krule's, latest project Man Alive. Really enjoyed the project, would highly recommend giving it a listen. His ability to blend genres seamlessly and complete such a body of work at the mere age of 25 has blown me away!
I recently lost a friend who was only 23 and this track just really gripped me.
