I've been in a few top-tier factions, and war always ends up taking the chill and the fun out of them. They always end up "cutting the fat", or "streamlining for success" and it becomes a mindless, heartless numbers game. The fun goes out of the Discord, the chat becomes nothing but calculation, and victory just feels like a prerequisite to keep struggling. There's no fun, friendship, creativity, jokes, and certainly no understanding about little things like real life.
Then I joined DarkHearts.
There's constant talk about how to improve, and it gets implemented beautifully. The hitters HIT, the sitters and trainers LISTEN and GO. The chat is one of the friendliest I've ever seen. Hell, some of these folks hit up my podcasts and streams. You know what it's like to actually like the people you are in a clan with, outside of the clan and it's business? I really had forgotten. DarkHearts reminded me.
This isn't just a faction on it's way up. It's good people showing some love and humor, and it makes me WANT to play Torn, rather than just participate to appease my ADHD and watch numbers go up.
R+ doesn't cover it. S-tier is only the beginning. What this faction has can't be summed up in numbers, perks, stats, or anything that comes with Torn, itself. It's lightning in a bottle. It's the right place, and this is the right time. It's the kind of people you'll look back on and say, "I was there."
DarkHearts. Hell yeah.

That's how I found Blue Rock. Bounties for War hits sounded like a nice deal, and D-T is a good boss, but the community is where it's at. Self-organizing, low-pressure, high rewards for those who step up and take the initiative. I've never had so much fun in a war, and I've been in a lot of wars. I'm making money, making kills, and making friends. It's everything a faction should be, and it's GROWING.
Step up. You won't regret it. I sure don't.

In flames reborn, in flames reforged, in flames revenged.
All love and loyalty, friends.

An oyster bunny!
*runs back inside to await certain death*
the following quiet a shadow's gait.
Flesh to ravage, suffer and bleed.
Needs have must, and shall not wait.
Sky above is moonless clouds,
Pollution in the river floe.
One more corpse from among the crowd,
Shadows cast by sodium glow.
How can a city have a name like Torn?
They might have named it Carnage, or Stain.
Labours of crime, not love are born.
Citizen vampires, tapping the vein.
Autumn crunch, if the trees were real,
But the City is plastic from stem to soul.
Drugs to tell us how to feel;
Timers to tell us when to go.
No need to run, you can always be found.
You kill the night like you killed the girl.
Candy and coins scattered on the ground,
Snatched watches and cheap necklace pearls.
No children in Torn, a last mercy for them.
Only adults in costumes with knives and lust.
We never grow old on the Islands and slums,
Only die by neglect and the loss of trust.
So Trick or Treat, little lamb,
We take your honor and your oath.
You can be the hunter or the prey,
But I think you'll be both.
