There's something I need to clear up. Negative impact of addiction varies based on the type of your company. It's way harder to maintain a 10* status as a AN than a restaurant simply because there is way more AN than restaurant. The more the same type of company there is, the more competitive it is, the lesser the gap between a 10* and 9*.
If your an hired heavy drug user, I would like to make an assumption that your company earns around ~13.7m weekly(unless the director bump adv fee ofc, which is a loss). For a 9* an to reach the top of 9* and hopefully make it to 10*, you need ~13.5m (perhaps more). Can you see the issue? A slight drop of 0.5m weekly income means putting your 10* into risk.
As for unpopular company such as restaurant, the income gap between a 9* and a 10* is relatively huge. https://prnt.sc/uyvmb2 There's a 2m gap between a 10* and a 9* while AN only have a 200k gap.
Imo, I prefer semi-active players than active heavy drug user. I used to check on player's daily activity before hiring back then, but now, i check on their daily xanax taken and rehabs. And yes, i do agree on the fact that the negative impact of drug on work stats is harsh.
yes, it does, but as i said earlier, not as much. The negative impact of drug is greater than inactivity.
Heres a pic of one of my employee that went offline for more than an entire day. https://prnt.sc/uyvai5
Inactive for a day: https://prnt.sc/uyvb4v As you can see, its just a mere -5 and -2. But for an active drug user, they will always have at least -10 addiction.
5* eff means you reached the minimum stats required, which is what every employee should have. Activity doesn't matter much as long as you log in a few times in a day. There's no difference in playing 20mins a day and 20hours a day. The system will register your logins still.
I would rather hire a guy with 1k daily activity points that rehab at -15 than someone who online 24/7 and only rehab at 4%
Because there wasnt any indicator beside the 1% brain icon back then. And I'm fairly sure many of the directors (included me) wondered why did the company's daily profit dropped by 5-10% all of the sudden. We doubled check with our employees there isn't anyone with the 1% icon. We have no choice but to tank the loss with confusion.
Now, with this system, directors are able to identify the problem. Even with full business edu done, we are only able to boost employee eff points by 12. Which means directors edu are basically used to cancel the negative effect of drugs.
Some employee are able to get away with high % addiction because of their company types or their director simply doesnt gives a damn. Some companies are way more competitive than others, a slight drop in daily income will affect the position greatly. For example, its way easier to maintain 10* status in clothing store, music store, meat warehouse, all the other unpopular companies, you name it. However, a 100k loss everyday for a 10* an is devastating. My company once dropped to 9* because one of the employee was having 3% addiction (brain icon).
From my experience in running a 10*an, a sales assistant with -20 will cost us about 60k loss in daily income (may be more if you're in a higher position) Most of you might said: 'thats just 60k loss, tank it'. Yes, we can tank the 60k loss, but unable to tank the 60k loss daily profit. As I mentioned earlier, its not about the amount that we loss, its the fact that the loss is irreversible. We couldn't simply give the system 60k to compensate the profit loss could we?
Employee might not see the hard work director put into maintaining the company and I don't blame them. But trust me, we aren't overreacting, this is a real issue.
tldr: If your director doesnt gives a damn, good for you, but if you wanna stay in my comp, rehab at 15% or get fired. My company, my rule.
