Whether you agree with it being a bug or not is irrelevant. Torn specifically said they wont pay out. This is a common thing with many sites and bug bounties, learn the lesson and move on, the guy you linked obviously did.

If the new tab was a different URL and the HTTPS cert didn't kick up an error, then it's really even more out of torns control. If you did some cross-site script/cert stuff that made it look valid, then you've got a bounty that would probably get paid. Otherwise, it's just phising with a fancy hat on.

edit: you can carry on telling everybody they're wrong, you're basically trying to tell the customer that went elsewhere that they should've bought from you. Let it go :D Writing up a bug bounty correctly is half the battle sometimes lol.

I think there's just an accepted/expected cost of the wars for us. Even if it seems pointless, it's good to get experience and practice in losing situations and trying to turn it around; whether you agree with us doing it or not.
