tl;dr. Introducing a faction mission where the faction has to track down and eliminate a enforcer that has turned states witness
Youse all know that the Duke is in charge of a rather unorthodox “business”. He would call himself an entrapunure if pressed on the matter and could run a very successful mom and pop business if he put his mind to it. Nevertheless, let’s face it, Duke ain’t gonna run no bodega or greesy spoon in our life time. You see he is the boss of the operation and I will admit he is a tough guy. Every inch of a tough guy. Some of you can attest to this by the fact youse have engaged in a group fight against him in hope of some luscious loots.
What you have forgotten is that he is also the “brains” of the outfit. Now you have more than likely acted as a low-level soldier in his little endeavor from time to time, but let’s face it, those assignments were small potatoes for the likes of the duke and his main men.
Those main men are the real officers in his army and are tasked with the harder to handle jobs that whilst the Duke could easily handle, he considers them a waste of his valuable time and energy. Better to leave these time a wasting necessities to the guys with their buttons and concentrate on the more important stuff. Every now and again though a task is so tuff that even Duke can’t handle it. I know I found that hard to fathem but never than less it is the truth. So what woulda guy like the Duke do in that situation? It is simple really, he brings in the enforcer.
Every mafia since the dawn of organized crime has had an enforcer on the payroll. Generally these guys are dull witted but they more than make up for that lack of brain power with cunning, guile, ruth less ness, and above all tough ness. There have been some good ones over the years:
Salvatore "Sammy the Bull" Gravano
Joe “The Animal” Barboza
Abe”Kid Twist” Reles
And of course, in the tradition of these guys the Duke had:
Cadillac “Jonesing “ Martinelli
All these men have many things in common. They are natural killers, capable of killing with any weapon, and as tough as any on the face of the earth. Duke’s man Cadillac got his nickname not because he was Jonesing for drugs or a smoke but because he was addicted to the thrill of killing.
So, what’s the problem you ask? Well they had one other thing in common…they all turned states witness and are in the witness probation system or some such thing. Can you imagine, the Dukes trusted guy might actually get up in court and alecute about our little thing here.
We can’t allow that to happen so the Duke is gonna pay your faction a nice bonus for taking care of this problem. It ain’t gonna be easy though. First you are gonna have to figure out what he looks like cause he has had some of that plastic sugary on his face, what his name is cause they changed that, where he lives, so forth and so on.
Now cause he is so tough when you find him you are gonna have to marshell your forces and attack en mastic. You gotta take him down with extreme juice. Now between me and you even though he had all those things in common with those other guys, he was much smarter than them. He managed to skim a bunch of money off the Duke over the years and when he ran oft he took some really good loot. If you can find him and take him down what ever you find on him you can keep. It is sure to be some good stuffs.
I am proposing the addition of a faction mission to hunt down and eliminate an NPC known as Cadillac “Jonesing “ Martinelli. He was the Dukes enforcers but turned states witness when he got caught.
In order to find him the faction will have to commit a number of crimes to gain faction crime experience (FCE). Crimes will be at all levels so all member have a chance to participate. The crimes would also be progressive until you have success at each level and enough FCE to be finish each crime successfully. Faction members will gain CE and the faction will gain FCE with each crime success until the completion of the crime goal.
Shoplift – Medical uniform shop – Allows the thief to get the proper medical attire to access the doctors office
Other possible results: failures, random clothing items
Pickpocket someone – Nurse – success allows the thief to gain credentials for entry into medical facility
Other possible results: failures random drugs, money
Larceny – Doctors office – Find records for plastic surgery to discover what Cadillac looks like
Other results: failures, random first aid item, money
Plant a computer virus – Success gets access to the police computer which gives the travel schedule of US Marshalls
Other results: failures, erase the warrant database – money, blackmail data - money
Counterfeiting – Marshall’s credentials – Success gets you access to the Marshall’s headquarters parking complex
Other results: - failures, wrong credential made but are worth money, A badge you can wear to look important
Kidnapping – Marshall – discover Cadillac’s new name in the witness protection program
Other results : Failure, kidnap wrong marshal – ransom money
Hacking – US Marshall mainframe – Discover Cadillac’s address
Other results – failures, destroy the data base – money reward, learn address of lesser Duke enemies – money
Once the success at every level the Faction would be able to attack Cadillac as a faction for a chance at taking him down and getting rewarded with CE, money, and loots. There would be no time limit for completion and the faction would work together on this mission.
Once the mission is completed all will be well until it is discovered that Cadillac was not eliminated but was in a coma and now he has a new face, name and address and must be hunted down again.
